The computer started up a pixelated 1980's styled computer game graphic that read, "Seb's Adventure" with a flashing line on the bottom that read, "Press ENTER to continue"

Roger pressed the ENTER key and the screen faded out and a new screen of text came up:

Welcome to the Carmine Kingdom, great adventurer!

This kingdom has enjoyed many years of prosperity under the old and wise king, but when he passed, there was a great power vacuum. That was when a great even stepped in... Grand Wizard Paul used his dark magicks to put this fair land under a hypnotic spell that has caused the people to become sycophantic slaves under his power. It is up to you, fine hero, to dispel this enchantment and free the people! Remember, what these poor souls due is under the influence of this malevolent tyrant! Throw down this interloper and take the throne as the true ruler of Carmine Castle!

Roger mused whether this was an allusion or just the imaginings of a madman. The prompt told him to press Enter to continue, so he did.

The next screen was a character select. Roger was surprised to notice the likeness of the main character to himself. Although it would make sense if the game was tailored for him. He picked out an outfit that looked good and moved on to the next screen.

The next screen instructed him to choose his partner.

Shocking again, there was a pixelated version of Becky on the screen, among other candidates. Well, it seemed like a no-brainer to choose his wife. Although, it might be better to pick a character better suited for the game. The theme appeared to be a medieval fantasy. There were brawnier options like a hulk of a man carrying a battle-axe. There was also an attractive rogue that looked like she was quick on her feet.
