Who does the Chieftain target?
Robin
Robin, newly added to the conflict, was still entirely healthy. This health was put to the test as the massive axe head of the Chieftain swung down at her. She did not parry the heavy blow, electing to leap backwards and roll back to her feet. Before she can generate more magic, she dodge again as one of the lust-mad Gnolls leapt for her again.
Robin was in very good shape, her training in swordplay and gymnastics both adding to her stamina. She was still new at this, though. She dodged and struck, giving all of her enemies many cuts. If this were a fencing duel, Robin would have won easily. Her counterattacks, though connecting, were only superficial.
If she were only fighting the lesser Gnolls, she could have won eventually in her battle of attrition, but the Chieftain was smarter than her other opponents. Robin was never expecting such a massive beast with an equally massive weapon to swing so low. She barely leapt in time before the massive axe blade removed her feet at the ankles, but her leap was too hard.
In her haste to get out of the way, she didn’t perform the small hop that would get her on solid ground before her next opponent pounced. Robin was tackled midair, being thrown to the ground with great force. Robin gasped for air as her lungs emptied. Robin’s nerveless fingers tried to grab her rapier but she couldn’t get a good grip before the second Gnoll leapt on her chest.
Robin found her breath just in time to scream as the Gnolls tore at her clothes. “Hey! Let go! Get off!”
The Chieftain looked down at Robin with malice before turning to the remaining Bravo.
