Reunion

The door opened and helping her out of the carriage and escorted her to the door, "Mister Orelov you are back!" I nodded before pushing open the door whispered, "Come on, let's get you into the drawing room, with hope there is a fire to keep you warm whilst I'll mend your wounds!" she nodded before guiding her to the door pushed it open to see the two heads looked over the chair smiling, "Lyd…Lydia are you okay!" I guided her in and sitting down her down I said, "A bit bruised but nothing time won't repair!" Jacob hugged his granddaughter and smiling when Evie joined in hugging the woman I nodded before simply said, "I'll get something to clean her wounds!" and turning away I heard, "Damien..." I looked back to see Evie who getting up hugged me I hugged her back before hearing, "Yes, thank you Damien!" I nodded before sighing said, "The Templars will come, someone better stay on guard tonight and by the state of you all, I guess it's me!" Evie nodded before kissing my cheek said, "Thank you!!" I kissed her lips who returned it and cringing Lydia snapped, "Really...she is over seventy!" I winked at Lydia before saying, "We were lovers before you were born!" and retracting her arms she said, "She's right though!" and nodding I sighed before saying, "Maybe in an earlier life!" and nodding at me I said, "Anyway, Jacob treat the wounds!" he nodded causing me to leave the room and set up position.

Three hours had passed and seeing nothing, I didn't even know why I was here but I was sat here keeping guard from anyone getting near Lydia. "Hey?!" Evie called and joining me up on the balcony clutching her jacket tightly around her, "It should be fine now, come on in it's cold out here!" I shrugged before wrapping my arm around her spoke, "It's colder in the motherland, so I'm alright! How's Lydia?" "She's better now! the wounds will heal in time! I just hope there isn't any lasting effects on her!" I nodded before nudging her said, "She will be fine, she is just like you!" she sighed before nodding you said, "Yes, a younger me and every time I see her it makes me think of what should have or could have been. When her husband died it reminded me of Henry but of course Sam has honour unlike Henry; but I fear at her age she will end up just like me alone in her declining years!" I nodded before saying, "For a while when I was in Moscow, I was heart broken from what happened it was then when Nikolai told me the secret to it all. Regret...If you live in it, you will never move on, so the best thing you can do is try it even if it is impossible or unlikely to work! You regret your decision and were too loyal and now you regret it!" she nodded before admitting it said, "And now you know why I hate myself and neglect myself, it's punishment for what my younger version didn't do!" I nodded before smiling lightly said, "Good news is...I am still here for you" she nodded and kissing her winkled cheek she muttered, "You told me you would be here until the end and you are still here now! come on get some sleep, our staff will keep an eye out for you!" I yawned before nodding said, "Okay but only for a few hours!" she nodded before asking, "What will you do afterwards?" I shrugged before saying, "I am not welcome in Russia, won't be welcomed in England soon, so it's probably better if I take the next portal out of here, it's a shame you can't come with me!" and seeing the Lydia sit there laughing at Jacob's jokes saw her nervously smile before yawning once more said, "I'll use the couch in your living room since you all need them!" and ignoring her protests walked into the room and started to remove my boots.
