They returned to little fan fair and as they passed through the city gate Arerto noted that the troops on the wall seemed to be disinterested. She would have gone to the palace but she decided that she need to head to the defence ministry to get answers about the northern tribe. She looked around Talia and saw that the streets were dirty and unkept. This was the downfall of sending your siblings to the various borders to defend the country so the city had degenerated into filth and muck. Arerto sent her aide ahead to the ministry to announce her arrival. The aide entered the building and went to the duty office and found a low-ranking warrior sitting at the desk feet up. When she saw the aide she jumped to attention and the aide asked where the duty officer was" She is getting washed and cleaned up we are expecting the Queen's return today" said the warrior just as Arerto walked in and looked around the dirty office.

Arerto turned and without a word headed to the office of the commanding general as the aide also turned she heard a shout and then some shouting "Hey who the hell is kicking in the butt oh sorry your Majesty" As the aide approached she asked the woman why she was on the floor. "I was trying to get some sleep" Arerto looked her up and down and replied, "Well sister get back down there your the only one in this headquarters who knows what they are trying to do." Arerto then resumed her walk to the general's office and when she got there the two guards outside saluted and one opened the door allowing Arerto to enter the room. "Your majesty it is good to have you back." Arerto looked at her and the cluttered desk she stood behind then took two paces forward closing the door behind her. The general knew this was bad as the Queen only shut doors when she was going to hand someone their ass she preferred to do it in private.

"Listen general do not speak! On my return to the city, I find the gate wide open the warriors seemed disinterested and the streets are filthy just what the hell is going on? Now I would normally just fire you but unfortunately need you so tell me what is going on at the northern border and be concise." The general gulped and then replied. " The northern tribes have been rumoured to have crossed the border in several places capturing our citizens and stores. The most prevalent area they cross is Lady Cressida's lands." Arerto inwardly sighed as Lady Cressida was a thorn in her side and rumoured to be a disciple of the black arts of magic and manipulation. "Well general this is what you going to do send runners to my sisters and tell them to release a quarter of their armies and now the eastern border is secure have General Freya do likewise. And get this city cleaned up right away. Arerto left and headed to the palace to clean and relax for a little while.
