Reservation for Malychev, please
Amanda is a nice, plump girl. Not quite as wide as she is tall, but somewhere near it. She greets you with an authentic smile and kind eyes, and you can't help but like her.
"Reservation for Malychev," you say, as you walk up to her podium. Nadia, Katerina, and Mia trail behind you, the latter girl having a little bit of difficulty in the aggressive stilettos she is wearing.
"Oh, Mr. Malychev! You're right on time," Amanda beams. She steps back from the podium and motions towards the dining room beyond. "Please, follow me. Your table is ready for you."
You follow the hostess into the dining room. Like the rest of the hotel, the architecture is beautiful. White tablecloths coat every table, and a bustling staff weaves in and out of guests as they go about their work. Simmering steaks trail past, accompanied by dark red wines and fruity cocktails. The food smells delicious, but you can't help but feel your company is far more enticing.
You let the girls walk in front of you, admiring them from behind. Nadia's swaying hips, Katerina's firm ass. Mia's bare shoulders. Certainly, the company is far more enticing. No doubt about that.
"And, here we are. Due to the late reservation, we had already reserved most of our tables towards the front of the restaurant. Hopefully, this is acceptable for you and your family, sir," Amanda says, pointing to a table in the rear of the room. Most of the dining room is full, but this section is cordoned off by a retaining wall of some kind (or perhaps just a display wall, you're not sure) and there is only one other table seated. An old man and a woman, both of which seem as though they're ready to leave. You sit down at the table with your family.
"This is wonderful, thank you," you answer. "We appreciate your making room for us so soon, Amanda."
"My pleasure, sir," she beams, as a waitress approaches. "This is Sandra, who will be your waitress this evening. I hope you enjoy."
Amanda disappears back to her podium while Sandra steps forward. She's a tall, nordic woman with heavy features and a heavier mane of hair.
"Hello, welcome. May I start you off with any drink besides water? Our sommelier will be by shortly to share our evening's selection of fine wines."
"Hi, Sandra," you say. "I think I'll wait for the wine, thank you."
"Me as well," Nadia answers.
Sandra looks at Katerina and Mia, and you realize she probably thinks they're older than they are. Neither girl tries to take advantage of that, though.
"Just water, thank you," Mia says.
"For me, too," Katerina echoes.
"Very well, I'll be back shortly with four waters and your menus."
Sandra disappears behind the display wall. You catch the eye of the old man, who you realize has been leering at your family with unbridled scrutiny. You think you should feel jealousy or something, but you don't blame him. You'd leer too. He averts his gaze once he realizes you've noticed.
Nadia sits beside you, facing the display wall and the rest of the dining room, while Katerina sits across from you. Mia sits diagonally. Rather like your normal placements at home, you realize.
"This seems nice," you say.
"It's so nice, Lev," Mia agrees, her face lighting up in a smile. "Thank you so much for bringing us here. For bringing me, here."
Katerina rolls her eyes and elbows her friend. "Geez, Mia, don't suck up too hard or your teeth might fall out." Mia shrivels inward, deflated.
"Katerina!" Nadia admonishes, before speaking to Mia in a softer tone. "Mia, we're always glad to have your company. We're happy you're able to be here with us tonight."
"That's right." You shoot a fatherly look at Katerina. "Besides, I should be thanking you, girls. Not many men can say they've been accompanied by such beauties."
Mia giggles, while your daughter gives you a smug grin.
"You're certainly right about that," Nadia murmurs. She takes her utensils and unrolls them from their cloth napkin, before placing the napkin onto her lap. The other girls do the same while murmuring something you can't quite hear despite their proximity.
"Hi! I'm Audrey, your sommelier this evening. May I interest you in a choice of our evening selection of wine?" A woman appears from nowhere, wearing a nice dress not unlike Nadia's.
"I'll take your house red," you answer, not interested in whatever thousand-dollar bottle she is trying to sell.
"Me too," Nadia answers.
"We'll also take a glass," Katerina and Mia answer together.
You shoot them a glance but say nothing. The sommelier doesn't blink an eye, already disappeared.
"What was that?" you murmur, looking at your daughter and her friend.
"What? We can have some wine... just a little bit, right?" Katerina answers, giving you big puppy dog eyes and trying to act like she doesn't know she did something bad.
"Well, I-..." you start to give in, but you feel a hand on your thigh under the table that pauses you.
"One glass. No. More." Nadia answers, her voice firm. Her touch lingers on your thigh.
"Just one!" Katerina grins, and Mia nods.
