"Let's go to Ravens," Marlissa suggested, her green eyes glowing subtly. "I want to go dancing!"

"Sure, but I want to stop by my place to change into a better outfit than my t-shirt and yoga pants," Emily replied as she started the car engine. Ryan could see the excitement in her eyes in the reflection of the rear-view mirror.

Emily felt at ease with the couple she had just met and opened up to them. The young waitress told them that she graduated high school a year ago and had been working at the pub to save up for college. She was ecstatic when Ryan revealed to her that he was a field research archaeologist, since she was trying to decide to go anthropology or archeology, she bombarded Ryan about places he has been. Emily almost drove off the road after Ryan suggested that he could put in a good word for her when she applies to college. She could not stop thanking him until Marlissa suggested that she concentrate on driving safely to her apartment.

"Um, I just want to tell you that my place is a bit of a mess," Emily warned as she unlocked her apartment door and flicked on the hallway light.
