Prologue 4

She had jumped into the foyer, extending her wings to slow her descent, delicately reaching the ground with barely a sound, her heeled boots softly clicking against the stone floor making the three figures flinch back a bit at her sudden entrance. Keeping her wings extended she quickly analysed the three intruders, seeing their reactions to her entrance, the way they held their weapons even tighter, with the boy grabbing his sword with two hands while his two companions held a long wand and a bow respectively.

She could see in their faces how nervous they were and with the ability numbers they had it was clear that they were not veterans, it was clear how nervous they were, this was probably their first ‘quest’? Well, if that was true then they truly had bad luck, or terrible decision making. Who in their right mind went into a dark castle lost in the middle of the forest while it was still night and without backup? They were morons.

As the silence kept extending she could feel the way in which the boy kept checking her body, he wasn’t even trying to hide it, well, she wasn’t exactly trying to hide herself? It had took her some time before she decided to really look for better fitting clothes and she had found them, basically a mountain of clothes that the demon Lord had prepared for his future succubus concubine, and they all fit perfectly, it was just that the vast majority of the clothes she wouldn’t even touch, if someone had tried to wear some of them back home they would be arrested for public indecency.

Still, trying to wear heavy armour did not have much appeal to her, it just felt wrong to have too many layers of clothes, probably something to do with her new succubus nature, so she had finally decided to wear some rather tight shorts alongside a corset with silver bustier that had gorgeous and intricate symbols engraved all over, at least it seemed that demons were in fact not vulnerable to the metal after all; the clothes alongside some stiletto boots made her feel complete in a weird way, again, probably something to do with her succubus nature.

Whatever the case may be, the trio of home invaders were not here to do a social visit, they were here for some reason so she would be sure to know what, but it was better to keep them unbalanced, they probably had absolutely no idea what they were doing or what exactly she was.

“Well, I have to say, I was not expecting company at this hour of the day, and what kind of manners are those? No knocking? If you had announced your arrival it would at least given me enough time to prepare some tea,” while the archer and swordsman kept looking warily at her, the mage behind them simply winced, her body trembling as her eyes began to get wider; something in the way she was reacting was interesting, as if she was the only one in the group that had even an inkling of who she was, although the horns, tail and wings were kind of a giveaway.

“Yeah well, we were in a hurry to get to this place,” it was clear the guy tried to be the leader of the bunch, a prototypical knight in shining armour, or just a wannabe mercenary since their weapons seemed a little too new.

“Shut up Toby, let’s just kill this bitch, I wanna loot this place already,” the grating voice of his archer companion made something inside of the succubus wince, it was an annoying voice, but it was the way she said those words which made her more than annoying, as if the deed was already done and she was basically counting the money already in her hands; the girl had the look of a typical brat, with dirty blonde hair and above average looks, the succubus couldn’t quite get an idea of the girl’s body considering the leather armour she was wearing, but something told her the girl was not a novice when it came to using her body for what she wanted.

“Guys, maybe this wasn’t a good idea,” the mage girl said, clearly knowing that something was wrong, probably the only one with a working brain among them; the mage girl looked cute with her round glasses, a little bit chubby, but there was nothing wrong with that, variety is the spice of life they said and with the way her chest was pushing forward those robes, well, the girl must have a pretty nice pair of puppies underneath those clothes.

“Shut up bitch and do your fucking job!” That was the only thing the blonde said before she let an arrow fly with her bow… which simply bounced once it struck the succubus, at the same time the mage let a small barrage of ice spikes which just like the arrow were completely ineffective, being stopped in mid air before they reached the demon, the magical spell fizzing out.

“I told you this wasn’t a good idea, she is not like the other monsters we fought before!” The mage had clearly lost all of her courage because she threw her rod in the floor before running for the door, sadly, they were the ones that had started all this so with just one movement of her hand the main doors slammed shut.

“Not only you arrive unannounced, you attack your hostess like a brigand of rogues and then you have the gall to run away, my dear, you all still have no idea how screwed you all are,” and like that, the dice had been cast.

Just as the swordsman of the group regained his courage and began to charge the succubus, but it was too late, because she gently opened her arm and in her palm small dark crystals began to gather until they formed a sphere of darkness, but just as the swordsman was about to reach her, the sphere exploded, drowning the whole place into absolute darkness.

It was impossible to see anything beyond their own hands, they were separated and besides their voices they could not find the enemy; the mage, now that she couldn’t escape tried to summon a small light, like the spell she had read about when they reached this world, but just as a small ball had formed on her hands she gasped in fright, seeing the grin of the succubus in front of her before everything went back into darkness.

“Toby! What are we supposed to do now!”

“I don’t know, just don’t panic! We can still get out of this Karla!..... Karla? Karla!?” He began to move his sword everywhere, maybe with some luck he will be able to kill that monster, but then the sword stopped, it probably got stuck on something, but soon a figure appeared from the darkness, the succubus holding his sword’s blade between her index and her thumb while with her other hand she was pointing at him with her index and middle.

“Bang,” was her word as a flash of blue energy hit him right in the face, sending him flying through the air, knocking him down instantly; with a movement of her hand the darkness was dispelled and the three wannabe heroes laid on the ground completely unconscious.
