Tela finds a magic item shop.

In the heart of the city, she peers down from the sky with interest at a short, overweight gentleman peddling his wears out of a cart. There's nobody around at the moment. All he's doing is muttering to himself as he goes over a stack of papers. Tela flutters down to set atop his pile of stock, and she watches curiously. She perks up and ear, and tries to hear what he's whispering.

"I'm going to make bank off this," he says. "That fool. He doesn't even know I took a few of his magic items, and now I can sell them with one hundred percent profit. I don't even know what they do, but who cares? I can sell them for a price that would usually be at a loss and still be in the green."

Well that sounds pretty mean. I hope this person he's mumbling about is okay.

The merchant perks up when a tall, busty woman walks up to his stall. He slicks back his hair, and grins as his eyes dart up and down her body. "Well hello there, lovely lady. You look like a woman with refined tastes."

"But of course," she replies with pride. "I am a lady of house Dennison after all."

"Well I would be a fool not to cut you a deal then, my lady. I have some fascinating magic items you might be interested in."

"Oh? Let me see."

"Of course. I actually made a few of these myself."

Suddenly, there's a muffled buzz coming from one of his pouches. It catches his ear, but the lady didn't seem to notice. He shrugs it off and continues. The first thing he pulls out is a dagger in a beautiful crimson sheathe. He slowly draws it, and the metal glows a faint shade of blue.

"It's lovely, but I'm not much for weapons," she says.

"Ah. Of course. Well, don't worry, my lady. I'm known to be patient." It buzzes again. He darts his eyes over, and then back to her. "So let me see what else I have."

Next he draws from said bag. He pulls out a tiny red marble and holds it out within his palm.

"What is it?" she asks.

"Well, this here wards away evil spirits." Not only does it vibrate in his grip, but it illuminates with a red glow. After a moment, it ceases both. "Y-Yes. See? It was doing it right then." It does so a second time.

"Excuse me, dear merchant, but would that happen to be a strange alternative version of a Fib-Not, the device that senses nearby lies? It looks to me like you're trying to sell my some kind of toy that goes between my legs."

"No! Of course not. It's a ward that--" It vibrates and turns red. "J-Just forget it. I have other things you might want to see."

The moment he tosses it back into his bag, Tela flutters down to it curiously. In her hands, it's more the size of a dodgeball, but it isn't very heavy. She hugs it against her chest, and begins to lift back up into the air. If he stole it, I guess it isn't his anyway, right? But I don't know what a Fib-Not is. Can it really detect lies like she said? That's really neat!

"You know, if there's nothing here you want to buy, maybe I can interesting you in something else," he says. "I'm actually quite talented... with my hands."

Tela lets out, "Abababababa," as the orb in her grip starts vibrating. It nearly slips right out of her hands. Thankfully, it stops and she grips it tight before fluttering up high enough to escape their sight. "Phew. That felt funny," she says under her breath.
