Demonic Development

"Demonic Development always needs more warm bodies." The cage is opened and the guards seize you, dragging you out of the cage and through the room.

"Demonic Development? What the hell-" The lead scientist slaps you, cutting off your questions.

"Shut up. You should be thanking me spy, if you're lucky you'll have a place in the Company once they're done with you." The guards carrying you break off from the group and head towards a massive door that looks like something from a sci-fi set. As the doors smoothly slide open, retracting into the wall as it does, you see a lab that gives you a mixed impression.

At a first glance it looks...sterile. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all a sterile white - it looks like a high tech lab, specifically the kind where terrible experiments would happen in a movie. On the other hand as you walk by various cells you see things within that look distinctly unscientific - more of the kind of thing you'd see in a horror movie. Some of them have strange, demonic looking artifacts in them with people being exposed to them, others have bizarre cult-like rituals being performed, and some seem to be some kind of bizarre science experiments.

You don't have much time to look though, the guards continue to roughly shove you along until you come to what looks like some kind of processing facility. People in jumpsuits like yours are lead into a line up by guards, with the line leading to a large desk where the person sitting behind it directs the prisoners to elsewhere in the facility where the guards take them. You're roughly shoved into the line by the guards to wait. The people in line seem like a completely random selection but all of them have at least one thing in common, they all seem terrified. You can't blame them, the guards seem...more monstrous than before. They seem just a little too big and brutish, for lack of a better word, to be just a particularly bulky human. The line moves slowly but steadily in mostly silence - at one point someone panics and is taken away which intimidates the rest of the group into silence. Eventually it's your turn to be brought to the desk.

A woman sits at the desk, although you're not sure if 'woman' is the best way to describe her. She certainly has the general shape of a human woman, if you saw her from very far away you might mistake her for one but this close you can tell she's something different. Her skin is a very pale blue tone, her stark white hair covers half her face including one of her eyes but from the temple over her uncovered eye you see a long black horn. She looks at directly at you with her uncovered eye, it's almost entirely black save for an eerie blue iris with a slitted pupil. She smiles as she looks at you, her mouth full of razor sharp shark-like teeth.

"I can feel this one has...potential, yessss..." Her eye glows a bright turquoise blue as she looks at you.

"I know exactly where to put you..."
