Nancy’s lips curled into a smile that was a mixture of amusement and disgust. “Yeah, right!” she chuckled humorlessly, “This isn’t some perverted fantasy, buddy!”

The disappointment was clear to see on Vincent’s face, his devious smile freezing as his offer was rejected. He scowled at her as Nancy quickly dialed another number.

“Detective McKenna here, badge number 69512,” she said once the person on the other side answered the phone. As she talked she walked over to the motel room’s run down bathroom and picked up a large grimy towel that was in urgent need of a laundromat. Returning, she wordlessly tossed it into Beretta’s lap, covering up his nakedness as she continued her call, “I’m gonna need a pick-up at Milton’s Motel. One suspect, already restrained. Yes, please! The situation is under control. Some light resistance, but I handled it. Thank you!”

Hanging up the phone she shook her head in disbelief once again. “Show you my tits, Beretta… I mean, come on!”

The killer gave her an angry glare. “Your fault Wesson’s gone in the wind then:”

Nancy shrugged. “There’s gonna be another day when we get that bastard. One where I don’t have to satisfy some sad perv’s kinky requests. And I am happy to wait a little longer if that pisses you off.” She walked over to Beretta and pulled him up to his feet, then proceeded to wrap the towel around his waist to cover him up sufficiently. “Let’s get going, big man! There’s a nice, cozy cell waiting for you…”

Vincent grumbled as she led him outside to wait for the patrol car.
