Arthur the Aspiring Biologist

Arthur Kurz is a young man fresh out of school on a quest to find his way into the academic history books. People have published papers on magic, history, and more, but he decided to seek a path that'll lead him to assembling a book of ultimate knowledge--the biology of girls, in relation to any time of creature. This might mean ordinary girls like elves and catfolk, but more likely and more importantly to the academic world, fantastical creatures one might find out in the world. Some might call them monster girls. Obviously his quest isn't to take advantage of him. He'll need to rely purely on his good looks, charm, and luck.

A graduate from Redbloom Academy is all he is now, but one day, he'd love to be called Professor Kurz.

In terms of being a mage, he's a rather low level. He isn't much of a fighter. Arthur dresses in a white, button-up shirt with rolled up sleeves, a chestnut coat, and fine brown trousers leading into a pair of matching boots. Several pouches hang from his belt, and he has a small backpack he keeps over his back as well filled with even more supplies. He has messy, short, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and a small scar over the bridge of his nose--the only mark on his otherwise youthful face. There's light stubble over his chin as well.

Even he'll admit that his quest has some other motivations as well. It's every man's fantasy to have sexual experiences with all manner of fantastical women of course. That being said, he isn't only doing it for perverted reasons. He really does have a passion for biology.

What sort of things could I discover on this journey? It's so exciting. Maybe I'll unlock secrets others have yet to, simply because they fear going on such a quest themselves. A fear of being labelled a pervert. I care little for such things. As long as my findings are revolutionary, people can call me what they'd like. I'll still become a professor.

His household is unfortunately far from powerful. They were wealthy enough for him to study at Redbloom, though there aren't many left of them, and their political influence has only become weaker over time. His findings might also bring a spark to his family name as well. With some money from his family, but also a grant from the academy itself, he's more than ready for his long journey ahead. He's well aware he might be a different man by the time he returns, but this is what any graduate should wish for. Many are snooty nobles who don't want to dirty their hands with such things, but not him. Arthur has a passion to learn even more about the the world.

He won't be going alone either.

For years, he's become close to the best friend he's ever had. He's one of the few that knows his secret as well.

Brig is his name. If one were to look at him, they would see nothing but metal. He's always glad in a full suit of plate armour, and carries both a sword and shield. His history is lost to even himself, but Arthur trusts him--he doesn't believe him to be lying about his past. The secret, however, is that Brig isn't wearing armour at all. The suit is completely empty inside. When he speaks, the voice echoes from within, but one could remove his helmet and nothing would change. Brig is a sentient suit of armour with impressive power.

With him as Arthur's protection, there's little to fear. Their quest begins now.
