Be a like fish and go for a dip

Ren turned his attention to the lake. “I guess that must be a ‘portal’ of some kind. Like the front door of Leblanc or the exit in the mall.”

“That, or Carman drowned herself and Ann.” Pixie quipped. He shot her a displease frown. “Too dark?”

Shrugging off the joke, Ren walked to the crimson pool’s edge. The grass tickled his bare feet.

He dipped a toe in to test the ‘water’. It wasn’t cold. It wasn’t wet. It wasn’t water, just red air, or something close to ‘air’

If it worked for her… Ren thought, right before he dived into the void.

When the featureless redness surrounded him, gravity ceased to pull, leaving Ren floating until a new location materialised around him.
