Scene Two

SAM: -Mom! I’ve been trying to find you! Where were you?

ENDORA (looking surprised but a bit amused): -We went to Hawaii to have a Mai Tai by the sea. What happened, baby?

CLARA: -Sam, darling, are you aware that you are nude?

Samantha quickly explains what has happened.

ENDORA: -Oh dear… I’m afraid that’s going to be a problem. The Hat of Triora was destroyed years ago in a fire… Those angry villagers and their temper tantrums… You terrorize a few children and they rush to grab their torches and burn your cabin in the woods… You know how it is…

SAM: -Mom! If we don’t give her the hat, Serena is never going to free me from this curse!

ENDORA: -Don’t worry, baby. I’ll speak to the Witches Council. There must be some way to undo the spell.

DARRIN: -We don’t have time! My boss and his wife are coming for dinner and they will be here any minute!

CLARA: -Oh, we could turn them into flowers… or cactuses... Just for a few hours, of course…

DARRIN: -No turning anybody into anything!

Endora disappears, to go talk to the Witches Council. Darrin and Samantha ask Aunt Clara if she can take care of their baby daughter, Tabitha, until they can solve this whole situation.

CLARA: -Of course I can. I love spending time with her. I’ll take her flying on my broom. She loves that.

DARRIN: -No flying!

CLARA: -Absolutely, Darrin, whatever you say.

Aunt Clara goes to pick up Tabitha, who is sleeping in her bedroom.

DARRIN: -Oh, Sam… Larry and Louise are about to arrive…

Aunt Clara comes back to the living room, holding baby Tabitha in her arms.

CLARA (talking to Tabitha): -I'm going to take you flying on my broom. Remember how much you liked it last time?

DARRIN: -I said no flying!

CLARA: -Oh, of course, Darrin. Whatever you say.

TABITHA (laughing): -Mama no clothes.

SAM: -Yes, my dear, we’re playing a game. Daddy hid my clothes and now I have to find them…

Darrin and Samantha kiss Tabitha goodbye. Aunt Clara vanishes with the baby in her arms. Right after they leave, the doorbell rings.
