Ashley? With A King Sized Bed

As the group entered Victoria began wandering around the large open living room, peering into the connecting dining and kitchen rooms. The blonde girl had never seen a cabin with this level of amenities, she felt like a fool thinking that they'd be mostly roughing it with a simple log cabin. Clearly, she was underestimating the money and desire of comfort that the Raver's family had. "My god, now I need to see my room," Victoria said with a soft giggle,

“Hold on, before you start exploring everyone come over here.” Heather called out bringing everyone back to the living room, “Now this place really wasn’t built for a group of eight, it’s only got four bedrooms. We’re gonna have to pair up.” Kurt let out a sly smirk which he quickly wiped away while Gavin let out a slightly nervous look. “Obviously we could just keep it simple but we need to make it fun! Let's get crazy, mix it up, we're all friends so let's just leave it to chance!” Heather exclaimed, “Let’s do a drawing, you know names in a hat.”

“Couldn’t we just split up just, Gavin and Kurt, Zack and Chloe, Ash and Me, and you with Victoria?” Brandon interjected

“No that’s booooring,” Heather sang as she looked around for a moment before finding a notepad,

“I’m up for a random roomie,” Ashley dryly said, her are glaring over at Brandon which caused the jock to be instantly taken aback,

“Really?" Heather asked in genuine surprise, "I was just going to put you and Brandon in the same room,”

“No, put our names in,” Ashley firmly demanded as she crossed her arms.

“Uh, okay…” Heather said a bit awkwardly as she scribbled down the names before ripping the paper into separate pieces. She picked up an empty candy bowl and dropped the papers in mixing them up, “Alright, guys pick your girl.” She said with a smirk,

“Wait, we are doing cross bunking no matter what?” Zack said with a nervous grin,

“Yep.” Heather grinned back “Because we're all just looking for love, right?" The brunette teased with a short laugh, "Just kidding, but yes, this will be way more fun. So, since you asked, you pick first,"

Zack glanced ever so quickly to Victoria and gulped. With a silent prayer he reached into the bowl pulling out a slip of paper, he read it over and tensed a bit, “Ash, looks like we're bunking.” Initially, Zack would have been a bit relieved knowing that he was bunking with Brandon's girlfriend since it would make things less awkward. Normally, the blonde would probably never be in the room unless she and Brandon we're together but the fact that she insisted on not being in a room with him, and Brandon's known jealousy issues, made Zack very uncertain.

Ashley nodded back to Zack and before the teen could even think of expressing a change in roommates Heather jumped back into action. Stepping back into the spotlight she called out to her cousin, “Alright, Kurt you’re up!”

Kurt let out a smile, “Well, alrighty then.” He replied as he picked out a piece, “Victoria, guess it’s me and you.” The older blonde said, the slyness in his voice making Zack cringe instantly,

“O-oh, okay,” Victoria said with a little smile, while Zack felt a little flare-up in his chest,

“Brandon...your turn, only two fine ladies left, which one are you with?” Heather sarcastically said while shaking the bowl in front of him,

Brandon let out a small weak laugh, clearly, he was a bit distraught about Ashley before reaching in and picking out a name, “Chloe.” He said while holding it up, Chloe gave him a small smile and nodded,

“And that means Gavin, you get to pleasure of spending the week with your beautiful host.” Heather said with a wide smile, “Okay so we have one room with a queen-sized bed and then two others with two separate single beds. I call the master room, with the king!” Gavin was nearly shaking and his tongue went dry, unable to say a thing as Heather continued to speak.

“Damnit Heather,” Kurt grumbled out,

Heather raised her brow, “Oh and why don’t Ashley and Zack take the queen.” She said keeping her eye on Kurt,

“Seriously? You’re kidding me, I’m your cousin, I should at least have a full bed.” Kurt argued,

“You should at least not be an asshole and be happy to even be here.” Heather replied, almost seeming to correct him, “Come on Gavin, I’ll show you to our room,” The group immediately followed Heather through the living room, past a staircase, and down a rather thin hallway, "This would be our room, handsome," Heather sweetly said to Gavin who almost instantly blushed, "Feel free to get settled, we'll have the whole first floor to ourselves at night,"

"O-Oh, a-awesome," Gavin stammered back before swiftly pushing his way through the group, diving into the bedroom before his body turned any redder,

Heather gently shook her head, amused by Gavin's antics, "Zack, Ashley, if you two will follow me," The brunette continued without hesitation, leading them back towards the staircase, moving to a door placed around the back of it, "Head down here, move through the rec-room and you'll see a set of large double doors, that'll be your guy's room. Don't worry, the bathroom is included so no need to worry about traveling up flights of stairs every time you need to pee," Zack let out a short chuckle and Ashley silently headed back towards the living room for her bags while he made his way down the stairs.

"I'm assuming we're on the top floor then?" Chloe asked,

"Correct you are, while the two guest rooms aren't the nicest, they definitely have the best view. Head up the stairs and head down the hallway and you'll see a door right in front of you, that's the bathroom for you four, the bedrooms are right across each other just next to it, they're the same so pick whichever piques your interest more," Heather joked with a shrug, "Now if you'll excuse me, I want to unpack!" Heather separated from her remaining friends who in turn headed up the stairs towards their own rooms, ready to unpack and explore the cabin a bit more in-depth.

Hey everyone, some of you may not remember this thread and others may be excited to see this one returning. Just over a year ago I left the site for a while and seeing as the original thread was dead I'm assuming someone removed to condense the story and clear off threads that went nowhere, which I totally understand. But I did notice a few asking what happened to this thread and hoping I could put it back up and after looking around in my saved stories, I did find most of the original thread, so I'll be putting it back up as a rewrite, keeping with the Ashley and Zack theme while tiding everything up as I go. I hope you'll all enjoy and support the return of it!
