Chapter 13 by NeedAMedic NeedAMedic

Follow Becky or stick with the main group?

Fuu evades the attack, but Kiera isn't so lucky

Fuu's ears perked up at the sound of whistling, and she immediately pulled herself to her feet, eyes narrowed at the source of the noise. Her keen ears heard the faint puff of dust that announced their launch, and with impossible speed, she twirled to the side, spinning her staff in front of herself to deflect the projectiles, yelling "Head's up!"

Kiera, however, was not so lucky. With her heavy blade and heavier armor, it would have been difficult for her to move quickly, but with the symbiote still whipped up into a feral excitement by the cloud of magic, jerking her about here and there, Kiera had essential zero control over her movements. The spikes clattered against her, and while most of them bounced harmlessly off her armor, the insect had aimed well and a small handful of them managed to pierce through chinks in her defenses.

The creature chittered in happy victory, and quickly scurried off toward the dark crook of it's nest, hidden well within behind the stone walls. It would need the safety as it's venom began to take root. The creature knew that soon her body would be his to command, the formidable knightess unable to command her own limbs, even as her mind observed her every movement.

He could feel the sense of control gradually spreading through her body, only when the toxin reached that strange fluctuating arm, there was... resistance? The bug ignored it. For now, all he would need was her legs to bring her to his nest, and her body to order her to submit herself to him. Perhaps the arm would be useful for subduing the other surface females as well, if he felt like being a little greedy.

And he very much did.

Having arrived at his nest, the puppeteer's plans turned on a whim. Kiera's body was now well under his control, but rather than ordering her to approach him, he instead, directed her toward Fuu. Kiera turned with a jerky motion, natural arm raised as she moved to rush at the Bravos leader.

At the same time, the screaming voices in Becky's mind were growing louder and louder, their pained pleas for assistance becoming more and more difficult to resist. With the sleeping enchantment seeping into her mind, Becky found it more difficult to resist their siren song, and before she knew it, her feet were carrying her forward down a side tunnel, and off into the dark.
