Your mother

You look at the letter in your hand. Your mother, the former queen, reminds you through the letter the precarious nature of the kingdom, using the deaths of your father and brother to emphasize the point. It seems that she has found out about what's happening right now at your place, including your affair with another man's widow double your age. Despite not stating it outright, your mother tells you that any bastard you sow in women of questionable lineage wouldn't be able to become your heir. Despite being annoyed by her words, you agree with her.

The problem is that the candidates the government have provided you seems questionable at best. Some of the candidates are part of a particular family that engages in close family marriages. You notice that while the women seems alright, the men's facial features look slightly abnormal. According to a priest that you studied under, the strange facial deformity is a result of rampant inbreeding, where close family marry together for many generations that the subsequent generations becomes more abnormal than the preceding one.

Rather than marrying an inbred wife, you might as well lay with your own mother and sister. Your mother is younger than Dobra by a few years while your sister has recently become an adult. At the very least, your children wouldn't have ugly faces, and you can prohibit your next king from engaging in ****.

Dangerous thought aside, the other candidates presented seems to be linked to one noble or another. That presents two simultaneous challenges: preventing one whose candidate you select from gaining too much power and influence while keeping the rest mollified. The same thing happens in regard to choosing the future queen from other states but at least, international diplomacy is less complicated than internal politic.

At the end of the letter, your mother implores that you return to the capital, at least to settle the problem since you're the reigning king. You put down the letter and consider her request. Instead of simply berating you, she appeals to your logic, making you're more receptive to what she asks of you. Maybe you should go back, at least to see what's she planning for you, before you decide. While you're there, you can also solve that little issue in regards to your father's former mistress. Explore new avenue for diplomacy and routes for trade. So many things to do.

That night, after having your needs taken care of by Dobra, the two of you lay on the bed, naked bodies covered by thin blanket. You tell her about your mother's letter and to your surprise, she gently tells you to go back to the capital. You remark that you're envious of her maturity to which Dobra replies that eventually your upcoming fatherhood would change your own view on life, making you more mature and subsequently a wise king.

You huff, saying that in a way, she's telling that you're just a lustful and perverted immature young man. Dobra giggles and agrees but then adds that your child which is growing inside of her is not as a result of maturity and wisdom but instead due to your both mutual immaturity, lust and perversion, sprinkled with a bit of love. That statement whet your appetite, and soon you're inside of her once more, telling her that you're going to keep sowing your seeds of lust and perversion inside her mature womb.
