"I-I mean, yes I'm lost," Gemma said quickly recovering from her outburst.

"I figured as much, you were looking a little strange, like you didn't know where to go," Draco smoothly said.

"Y-yes I've only recently moved here, so it's all a bit confusing," Gemma nervously agreed.

"You must be doing some Hogwarts shopping right? What's your name by the way," the tall blonde said continuing the conversation.

"I'm Gemma, Gemma Black," the black haired witch quickly said.

"Black?!" a small brunette witch known as Pansy shouted.

"I didn't realize there were any other Blacks." A wizard Gemma knew as Theodore said quietly looking curiously at Gemma.

Now everyone in the group was looking at her more closely. Gemma blushed under all the attention.

"Y-yes, I'm told cousin Sirius knew my Grand-père Alphard quite well, and when he died he left everything to me as I was Alphard's only granddaughter," Gemma quickly explained.

Gemma took this opportunity to get a good look at each member of the group.

First there was Draco Malfoy, Gemma knew he was probably the leader. Draco seemed taller than she remembered. Were his shoulders bigger too? Looking at him now this Draco seemed confident and strong.

Gemma quickly looked at the next wizard Blaise Zabini. She hadn't had much interaction with the Italian wizard in the past and looking at him she also thought he seemed different. Also tall and fit but where Draco seemed confident, Blaise looked playful.

Gemma moved over to Theodore Nott. She had only ever seen him in the library once or twice but now he looked really grown up. He wasn't as tall as the other boys but he was still taller than her. Like the other boys he was pretty fit and he had this look like he was analyzing everything.

One thought kept creeping up as Gemma looked at each of them. They all seemed hot.

Wait what? NO! No, no, no, no, no, no! Why did she think they all looked hot?

She knew she had to get along with them, but thinking they were hot, no! How could her mind betray her like this?!

Then it all clicked. She imagined her professor with his jolly wave and a twinkle in his eye, saying something like, "You see, my dear, I think you'll find it quite impossible to hate them, quite the opposite actually!"

He did this, Gemma was sure of it. This must be one of the extra compulsions he had talked about. Which meant just like saying the m-word it was impossible to go against it. And if it was impossible to against it didn't that mean it was better to go along with it?

It's not like she had to act on her impulse. Sure they looked hot, but she didn't have to do anything about it, right?

Gemma quickly moved onto the witches to see if anything had changed there.

Pansy Parkinson, short, ugly temper and pug faced, yup Gemma still disliked her.

Millicent Bulstrode, also short, black hair, pudgy face, yep Gemma disliked her too.

Had Dumbledore only made her attracted to the boys? Although a small part of her was happy that she was the only 10 in this group that meant all the boys would be looking at her.

Wait? She wasn't supposed to want that was she?

"What do you think Gemma?" the olive skinned wizard known as Blaise asked effectively snapping her out of her thoughts.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't catch what you said," Gemma quickly responded with a red face.

All the wizards were smirking at her like they knew she had been checking them out. Her face grew redder and she **** herself to look away from them.

"We were wondering if you wanted to join us to finish up your shopping?" Draco said smirking at her.

"Y-yes I'd like that." Gemma responded carefully.

Well it may not have been ideal, but she had successfully met and is now hanging out with the group of snakes. Maybe spying wouldn't be so hard after all?
