Right?
Every now and then a revolution hasn't killed anyone yet...
Chapter (17)76
It's like the birth of a nation. You imagine what it was like back then and whether Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Livingston and the other signers of the Declaration of Independence danced through the hallways of the Pennsylvania State House just as Susan and Claire do now. No matter what you think of the founding fathers, they would not look so spectacularly sexy to your eyes with their giggles, their irrepressible joy and their constant hugs. Otherwise, the thought of independence awakens some ideas for your life and also theirs. And like the signature below this text, your phone call with the McKinley parents has consequences for the whole group in your little colony by the lake. The two girls who triggered this movement don't care much and as they storm down to announce their remaining in freedom, you brood above the material they have to work through.
"Holy shit" you mumble and leaf through one of the folders. "How do their parents expect them to do this?" But maybe that's the point of the whole exercise. You shake your head and look up when you hear a soft knock on the door. Millie leans against the frame and looks at you dreamily. "Hey princess" you greet kindly and are happy about a reason to be able to close the folder.
"May I come in?" your little sister asks quietly. You raise your eyebrows perplexed.
"This is your room. I think I am the last one who has the right to be here from both of us.” Millie smiles and makes her way to you. She skillfully sinks on your lap and puts an arm around you. Then she leans her head on your shoulder. For you, too, the time at the lake has made a difference that feels like independence. You do not think and press the little person on your chest and straighten her hair. The kiss on the cheek must follow, as must as the kiss on the lips. No tongue, just a brother and a little sister who show that they belong together. Two colonies that take care of themselves from now on. But there were thirteen colonies. That will be cheerful...
"Claire told me what you did for them," Millie murmurs, and can't get enough of you. Thinking that you can't hold her in your arms that often once you're home, your stomach cramps. But you can still savor her every second here.
"I think I have just turned water into wine" you mean a little outrageously. Millie looks at you.
"Was it so difficult?"
"I recognize your mother in the parents of the two. At least in the father. But I think if I give them tuition, it'll work.” Millie giggles and you roll your eyes.
"Tutoring..." But you are too busy with your closeness to think about sex now.
"You know we have to pull ourselves together when we get home?" She nods but doesn't say anything. "We will have little time together. But more than the others. Emma will be there often."
"That doesn't bother me." But there is something else that needs to be clarified.
"But after talking to Denise and the sisters, you know that they also want to get some of my time."
"Are you mad about it?" Millie looks at you again questioningly. She absolutely wants to please you.
"No I'm not. I just don't know how to do it. It's not in my DNA.” You get the best answer in the form that adapts to yours. She is light as a feather and her body on yours looks as if it belongs there. "I just want you to be happy."
"I am, I promise. Happier than ever in my life.” She looks at you and seems to understand what is going on inside of you. "You are my big brother. You know what I need.” She thinks for a moment, then comes to a good result. "I like that. And I want the three of them to feel the same way. You made my life perfect. I want that for them too."
"You are perfect for me princess." You kiss her aromatic hair and hug her tightly. The quiet moan is rewarding enough for you and you hope that you can continue to do her justice. At some point, you get up and Millie slips off your lap. You go down together.
There, Susan and Claire still haven't calmed down and are whirling around the house like flies. It all looks like this is the first time you've seen it. Megan is in the middle of the chaos and where she is otherwise the tornado, she now acts as a pole of calm.
"I assume you have performed a miracle again?" she asks over the noise of the laughter. You just look at Millie in your arm - it's a great feeling to be able to do it publicly now - and you smile at yourself. You go to the table, lift a half-empty glass and stare at it intently. It doesn't become wine. But you must still have coke in the house. "Dumbass" grins Megan and understands the allusion.
"It was not easy. And I'm afraid her parents now think we don't know when it is our birthday. But they can stay."
"And do you still have your soul?" Megan also comes up to you and in the midst of Susan and Claire, who are taking the room apart, you experience a moment of intimacy. No matter who sees you or who thinks something worse about it, the taste of Megan on your lips is so breathtaking that you can only get rid of it with the taste of Millie.
"Hey darling, will I get one too?" Emma stands behind you and grins at you a little shyly. Since Carrie follows her through the front door, the kiss turns out to be a bit more chaste but seems to be enough for her. It looks like the two friends are spending more time together. The way Carrie thinks about you, that's a good idea. You can't resist Emma for long.
"Where I have all three of you together, I have to announce something" you mean and look at your friends. Carrie rolls her eyes but says nothing. You look at her apologetically, but you are distracted by the feeling of a hand in yours. Millie couldn't resist. "Susan, Claire!" You shout with authority and the two dash towards you. If they were to salute you now, the world would be... just stranger. "I promised your parents that I would work through these damn folders with you." You scratch your head. "I just don't know when. Why didn't you say that earlier?” The two look down and make Megan chuckle.
"Come on, Finn. Don't be so strict with them ”, Emma comes towards the two sisters in her role. "I'm sure they just wanted to have fun." Claire nods shyly.
"Yeah great" you growl. "And I have to work through all the stuff now." You sigh. "Well, as long as you are fine I can do it." The two shine again.
"It will be very easy, for sure," says Susan excitedly and forgets once again that she is the older one. Then she catches herself, clears her throat and stands in front of you and your new family. "We will pay you back too. I promise.” She looks over at Claire, who is spellbound looking down at your hand, which is intertwined with the on of Millie. Only a push with her sister's elbow brings her back.
"Uh, exactly." She thinks quickly. "We could cook for you again?" Her eyes widen with joy at the thought and Susan nods her head wildly. The two are so full of energy that they can hardly stand on their feet. Claire bobs somewhat and clenches her hands excitedly.
"Sorry ladies, but I wanted to ask my sisters if the Lynchwood-gang will be responsible for the food tonight." You look at Millie and Megan and are not surprised to find full approval.
"But also with Maureen please," says Millie and Megan hug her.
"It only works with her now." You live a perfect life. To save Susan and Claire the evening as well, you divide them up for the nursing service tomorrow. After all, on the birthday of Megan, you will have enough to do with her and certainly your sisters too. But the problem still remains when you press the McKinleys and their lesson into your diary. And when Denise comes from above, things get even more complicated.
"I am hungry," she says to you and gets questioning looks from the girls.
"Take a loaf of bread from the kitchen. Best with ham and cheese. We don't need that for tonight,” you think, and she follows your instructions. At least you can keep it a secret from Carrie by making your commands sound like proposals. Finn only cares for the kitchen, nothing more.
As soon as you focus on the living room again, you notice the effects of your decisions for the first time. As Maureen comes out of the party room downstairs and sees you, comes up to you and hugs you, your gaze falls over her shoulder to the girls in the room. Maureen, Megan, Millie, Emma, Susan, Claire and Denise who just came back from the kitchen. Everyone gathered in one room shows you what you have loaded yourself up with. The question of where to start and - more importantly - where you end up is enough to keep your brain busy. How the hell did you manage to get so many girls on your side? No matter what your plans are, you now realize that it will hardly be possible to ensure the happiness of all the girls under your wings. You can only hope that you get support in some form. Maybe a couple of French people row across the lake to help me? And in the end, they give me a statue in my honor. Well, I could ask Denise and Giselle. As if two more women in your life would make things easier.
Fortunately, brave colonies stick together and help you - Washington - secure the country. Maybe it helps to see the issue politically and militarily? Of all the possibilities, it is Carrie who gives you support and invites Emma, Karen and Rachel to sunbathe on the beach.
"So that you look handsome for your boy," she says and smiles at you kindly.
"As if that were necessary" you laugh, pull Emma gently towards you and give her a shy kiss on the cheek. "If you get even more beautiful, I'll probably die when I see you next time."
"Like Medusa?" laughs Emma as the other girls go upstairs to change.
"Exactly... wait, no! The other way round.” You turn slightly red in the face of your faux pas, but your girlfriend dismisses it with a laugh. When she throws her head to the side, her ponytail flies around her neck and it's almost done to you. When she disappears outside with Carrie, you wave Denise over to you. You also try to make it clear to her that you like to be there for her, but that she also has to understand the other girls. It doesn't feel right, but again your words are well received. After you assure her to continue taking care of her, Millie also takes her outside. She has a volleyball under her arm and she wants to catch up with the missed game that Josh prevented with as many friends as possible. Susan and Claire also go outside, so you have a moment alone with Megan.
"Are you all right?" she asks and touches your arm gently with her fingertips. You grunt out your answer and try to convince her that everything is fine. But her look reveals her thoughts. "You did a good job with the parents of the two,” states your sister and points outside. "Millie would be sad if they had to drive home early."
"Yes, yes."
"But?" She knows you too well. You grab her hand and the feel of her fingers in your palms makes you feel good.
"I don't know Wombat." You shake your head slightly. "It all happens so quickly. There are so many of you.” She giggles.
"Yes, we are like zombies." But then she gets serious again. "You think again that you neglect us?" The pain with which you grimace is so clear that it manifests itself within her.
"I just had to send Millie away. Denise still needs me. Especially when we are back home. Now I have promised Susan and Claire to learn with them and I don’t know when I should do it.”
"You can do it," says your wombat, but also realizes that these words don't really help you.
"I mean, did you ever see what their parents demand from them? If they go on like this they'll soon know more about history than I do!” Megan can hardly believe that, but she understands your point. “If Carrie were not so understanding, I would now have to answer to a tribunal made up of her and Rachel for the **** and especially the neglect of Emma. Maureen looks at me more and more like you. And tomorrow it's your birthday! Oh shit!"
"Hey!" Megan is not loud, but her words silence you. She hugs you so tight that it almost hurts. Then she presses against you and puts her forehead against yours. “Everything that we have built up only works with you. We all rely on you to hold fast and yes, it won't work without you."
"What do you want to tell me? Fight soldier?” You giggle to take the frustration out of your words, but Megan doesn't need your security. She just hugs you tighter and presses her lips against your cheek. Without moving away from you she talks to you and the movements of her lips and the air of her words tickle you.
“I want to say that we have a whole life ahead of us. It doesn't end with us going home. It starts. Millie and I are by your side forever and nothing will change. No matter how many women you have or how many commitments, we will always love you. Because that makes you the person I fell in love with. Emma will stay with you and Denise will do what you tell her."
"It's just so little time. What if I can't please you all?"
"You just have to be who you are. That's enough for me and Millie. I can't speak for the others, but I think you know how they stand with you.” She shakes her head and strokes her hair over your forehead. "And in terms of time, you're the master here in the house."
"Shit Megan..." You moan slightly and let your hands slide over her back.
"If you think a quick number is the best way to help you, I'll be happy to help." Her hands also wander and end up on your bum. She nibbles on her lip and runs her thigh between your legs. "Not that I have anything against it. But we should consider putting the number outside. So everyone gets something out of it."
"Oh you naughty thing" you laugh and feel better. Another kiss, greedy and demanding, longing, has to be enough for the time. You know what to do.
"I'm looking forward to cooking tonight," your sister calls after you. "Only this time we will let all fingers heal, right?" Her laughter accompanies you on the lawn outside. The girls are just about to stretch the net. They are watching you curiously as you walk briskly towards them. Millie took off her long pants and opted for a sports suit that almost brought you down.
"Girls" you call, let your fingers circle and grin contentedly when the three stand in front of you. I could get used to that. You speak in a serious voice. "I'm sorry, but the game has to be canceled for today." As expected, the girls draw a disappointed pout but one look from you is enough to bring them in line. Millie is proud to listen to you, and Susan and Claire feel not as bad as they want you to think. "I've been thinking and it'll only work now that we practice for your parents," you say to the McKinleys.
"But Finn, I thought..."
"No, no 'but'. As I said, I'm sorry. But we will do your homework now."
"But it's such a nice day," grumbles Susan, and you think that she might even enjoy dueling with you.
"It is summer. Every day is a beautiful day." You look out over the lake." If you promise me that you can concentrate, we will practice on the terrace." The two promise you joyfully and are shooed inside with energetic gestures. "I'm sorry Millie, but I honestly don't know how else to manage it all." You hug her and kiss her on the mouth. No chance you'll try to appease her with a chaste gesture. She deserves the full program. Still, she looks a little downed and you're about to reverse your words and do the sisters' homework alone at night.
"Come on Millie, I'll play with you," says Carrie, rising from her towel on the beach. You are surprised by her behavior but can somehow understand it. Even if she's mad at you, she has promised Millie to be her friend. And when she kicks Karen lightly in the side you have to grin. "Come on Grant," Carrie laughs. "Move your bones. Put on a chic bra and show Finn your curves.” That gets Karen off her towel and into action. So four people have already found each other. And with Megan and Denise, two half teams face each other in the sand. Karen determines the teams, but not without asking if you'd rather stare at her tits or butt. You just shrug your shoulders helplessly.
"Tits?"
"I thought so," Karen laughs and stands up. Megan rolls her eyes and selects the 'Ass' side.
"Do we have to name the sides like this?" Carrie asks somewhat annoyed and takes 'Tits'. You only look at her apologetically, but you get a very ironic grin as an answer. Shaking your head, you wonder whether you might be able to make it. After all, you have a lot of help. Then Susan and Claire come outside and you build a small circle of chairs on the terrace. First, you sit with your back to the field, but with a whistle and a ball that just misses your head, Karen convinces you to watch the game. It looks like you are the one who will be distracted the most from learning.
It's hard, damn hard. Not just the tasks that the parents of Susan and Claire put together for them.
"Finn? Finn!” Claire bumps your shoulder again. It is to despair. The girls only play to annoy you and everyone in their own way is responsible for you to not being able to concentrate. Megan grins cheekily at you as she stretches, arms folded over her head, and her breasts stretch forward in her sport's top. Karen doesn't let it go and counters with the same move, only more lascivious. You can't take it anymore when Millie also stands with legs apart and you notice how her body writhes under the exertion of the game.
"That's enough now. Sorry girls.” You turn away, which causes a bad mood on the field. Maybe it might be better sticking to Maureen. She just looked at the volleyball court and just thought she would read something inside and prepare dinner. Maybe sport is simply not for her, you think. But then you get the thought that maybe she just doesn't want to show up in tight outfits. A noble gesture towards her sisters but also a thing that you have to assure her. Now that she's back, you mustn't allow her previous behavior to marginalize herself.
"Oh Finn. That's unfair."
"God damn Karen! Don't be such a..." You sound really angry, but break it down. That word she doesn't earn the title.
"Well tell me," laughs Karen and grins broadly. But you think you can see something else behind her grin. "I wear the word with B like a badge."
"I would never call you that. You are too intelligent for that." Karen looks at you for a long time.
"Well played Lynchwood." She turns back to the field.
"You too Grant." Just saved. "Still, I'm trying to achieve something here damn!" you cry and laugh desperately. Megan rushes to your aid and at some point, young Grant gives up trying to irritate you. You can finally concentrate on the two girls in front of you.
"Sorry you can't join because of us," Claire says, actually looking at you pityingly. Susan nods too and you admire her ability to disagree so often with each other.
"Nah, it's fine," you lie like blatant. "I promised you and if we want to have our day together, we'll finish this here first." It wasn't a lie and the girls see your determination with awe.
"Nobody has done anything like that for us yet."
"What?" You ask Susan. "A hot match with six half-naked women waived because of the historical background of the..." You can see the documents. "The Spanish Civil War is not on the agenda next year."
"But on our mother's." You look at Claire. Your father always understood how to support you in your wishes. You wouldn't be where you are now - with tons of useless knowledge of things that only Emma cares about - if your father just put a hundred pages in front of you as a kid and said 'Read that. Remember that.' You shrug.
"There are worse things, and to be honest, I'm glad I know something about this."
"World War II is so boring," groans Claire.
"The Spanish Civil War is not the Second World War Claire," says Susan somewhat snappily. Apparently they're not always on one side. Or it's because Susan wants to please you?
"Actually, many historians argue that the Spanish Civil War was the beginning of the Second World War." You three turn around. A heavily breathing and damn good looking Rachel in her short red-yellow sports clothes is sweaty in front of you. "The Axis Powers could try out their weapons there and fight with the Socialists."
"Actually, after this idea, the war already started with Japan's invasion of Manchuria," you countered.
"Who cares about the Japanese?" Rachel grins cheekily and grabs a towel from a small table. When she wipes the sweat from her neck, you give her a bottle of water from a freezer.
"Ever heard of Pearl Habour?" you ask rhetorically.
"Who doesn't have that," she says only and takes a long sip. Her belly shines with sweat and a drop runs down her chin over her neck. "But do you know the picture '**** of a loyalist Soldier?" Susan and Claire only look at each other questioningly, but you remember.
"Somewhere half the way of... uh... of this folder. You hand the folder over to the two. Then you see Rachel again. "Robert Capa. Good photograph."
"Arrogant guy."
"First on Omaha Beach."
"Guys, take a break," Susan laughs a little nervously. "I'm just looking for the picture." You and Rachel grin at each other and Emma also comes to you quickly.
"What's it about?" asks Jackson, who is also interested in history.
"Robert Capa" you mean and wait for the McKinleys, who are excitedly looking for the picture under your kind eyes. Another way to interest them in history. Does well and I like you.
"Robert Capa, the one who stepped on a landmine in Vietnam? Arrogant guy."
"Oh come on!" you call joyfully and stand up.
"What? I just say my opinion and socialize with Rachel."
"Damn Communist Pack" you growl played. "I silence you." With a harsh expression and a surprised squeak, you pull Emma to you.
"No darling, I am sweaty like..." But you don't care and the salty taste of her lips comes to you.
"Oh you fucking capitalists," Rachel laughs. "You have to cool down. For the revolution!” Emma screeches and you laugh as Rachel pours an ice-cold water bottle over you. Screeching and laughing, you try to flee Rachel, who cools her friend and you down on this hot day. You laugh at Emma and in the cold shower your lips meet again. When you get drenched and cooled down from your high, Rachel helps you get back on your feet.
"Don't teach them anything wrong about my cultural home," she grins but is serious in her own ways.
"I'll teach them what their parents want so I don't have to drive them home tomorrow." Rachel rolls her eyes and pushes you back towards the terrace, grinning. "Okay, sorry ladies" you mean and shake your head. Drops fly to the two sisters, who are nervously laughing for cover. "Let us continue."
The rest of the session goes without a hitch. Neither Rachel nor you fall back into a long monologue on geopolitics and so Susan, then Claire manages to work through the material completely. On the other hand, you are still faced with the problem of being distracted from the learning goal. As the two girls brood over their lessons and ask you questions or request proofreading every now and then, your thoughts wander. First, you deal with the topic, which is also good for you. Then you think about Rachel that the two siblings must also feel like an overseas province controlled by the British Empire. They also do everything they are told, whether it comes from your mouth or that of their father. You quickly realize that the big difference is in the response to the words her father said to them a few hours ago. Where there were only grumbling and contrite obedience, you can feel enthusiasm and joy - even if you strike the same note. As the two prepare their essay, which you will have to query afterward, you consider their behavior towards you. But ultimately it is the looks that the two keep sending at you that bring you to the solution. It is now a familiar feeling to feel the affection in the eyes of girls, but it is still intoxicating to see the little signs. At some point, you pay attention to it and recognize the differences in the behavior of the two sisters.
Claire tries to get your attention by asking things that she knows or thinks you would like. She tries to find the right questions about the right events and always wants to know your opinion. If you tell her, she is very interested in your point of view and you will soon have to be careful not to justify Rachel with the statement that you put your stamp on them. Her father would surely notice if the essay was teeming with your crazy ideas.
"Make your own thoughts" you finally say a little **** but still with an encouraging voice. “History is not black and white and there is no one truth. Nevertheless, you should stick to facts whether you like them or not."
"How, for example, that the bombing of... Gernika for the rest of the war set the strategy that Bomber Harris ultimately cost his praise after the war?"
"Yes for example."
"Or that the photo: '**** of a loyalist Soldier' was pro-war as well as anti-war propaganda?"
"That too." You nod and feel like a professor who is not unwilling to let his students collect 'extra points'. You clear your throat quickly and direct the girl to the role of the monarchy and its survival even after the war. But then Susan seductively strokes a strand of her hair behind her ear and looks at you from the corner of her eye while her head is still lowered over a book.
"Finn, can you explain the meaning behind this statement to me?" She asks and smiles at you ambiguously. You have already resigned yourself to the fact that the two not only learn something about the Spanish Civil War today but also end the work that Millie started: How do I seduce Finn. Lesson one: ask the right questions. You lean behind her and put your hands on her shoulders. Susan has touched you the least in all the time and is the only one in the group of friends who have never seen you naked. Therefore, her wincing is clearly noticeable. You enjoy it on the one hand, but on the other, you also have a responsibility. And you notice the looks that are thrown at you from the volleyball field.
"Ah, here. Here is the connection. You just have to refer to the year numbers.” With slightly trembling hands and far too quickly and aggressively, Susan reaches for your arm and pulls it to the passage she means.
“Would you say that it was a good thing that the Catalans started an anarchist revolution in Barcelona? Especially in that time?"
"Ask the Poles in Warsaw. They were also abandoned by the British. But that's just my opinion. Anarchy is never a good thing, but it has to happen if you suppress a people or a group of people too much.” You take a breath to talk further about the topic, but Claire no longer holds it in her seat.
"Was it the same with your sisters?" She talks quietly and looks out into the field. The girls are still laughing there and Megan is just making a point with a big jump.
"I would not necessarily compare myself and my sisters to a civil war and its parties now," you think, and you do not know where it is going. "But yes" you agree softly too" it was pretty stressful for us." You look over to the field and look at your two treasures. At the sight, you have to smile involuntarily.
"Is it better for you now?" Susan asks, just looking at you. You weigh your words, you know what the girl is aiming for. And even if you don't want to, the feeling of looking at Susan and Claire is a good one. And they deserve your honesty.
"Yes, I think now that we have admitted our feelings, we are better. And after you all know, it's nice not to have to hide anymore.” The two girls laugh and on a whim, which you give in without thinking, you turn to the field. You whistle loudly and all heads turn towards you. "I love you" you call to your sisters and while Millie blushes, Megan breathes a kiss in your direction. Emma smiles at you too and the three of them get a wink in return. Then you turn back to the girls who hired you to study but now you have a completely different lesson. "Yes," you say firmly. "It's pretty good that way."
"Millie told us that she has feelings for you, at least we all suspected it," says Susan, referring to the evening in the boathouse. Millie has already told you what happened there and that the girls all fantasized about you. The behavior of Denise has changed significantly from this evening but now you can see that Susan and Claire are also looking at you with different eyes. Basically, it's a run that you can only lose. The two also make you feel that you want to protect them. Well, their father isn't a monster like Josh or Nathaniel, but still, you think you could give them something that they seem to need badly. And yes, this time you're not making the decision as difficult as Millie or Megan. Does that mean I'm taking the luck of the two lightly? Or that I already give in to my impulses? Your current girlfriends would surely give their okay, damn it, Millie already did it. And Megan and Emma see how the two adore you. Denise is a different one, but as long as you secure her loyalty by treating her like a cute little cat, she will surely eat out of your hand. My God. Like the German generality. Blindly after the recent successes in France, we pounce on England. Stop, wait, wrong year, wrong country. But still, the right thought. But as always, it's the question of the alternative that is stopping you. What happens if you retire now? McKinley's life wouldn't be that bad. Denise makes the problems of a stressed home fade away compared to her experiences. But is it fair for the two to treat them like this? You have friends who encourage you to make the world a better place. You have gone far and are clear about the two girls' goals. You can easily offset the stress of taking care of the two with the stress of not doing it. Millie would be sad about it. Megan would try to talk you out of it and Emma might even feel guilty about choosing Denise over the two. It doesn't matter because you've already spoken the next few sentences without realizing it.
"Millie told me a lot about this evening." Oh shut up! "And above you." Susan and Claire look at each other and look down embarrassed. "It seems Denise isn't the only one who can find something in me." You almost sound amused. “You have been very loving towards me and my sisters in the past few days. Millie really liked that and I like that again.” You look at the two with mock rigor. "Can you tell me why you are attracted to a guy who has four friends and a protégé?"
"Because we want that too!" Claire bursts out. It's no wonder, but you still play the surprised one. Yes, it's not fair, but admitting that you've already made your decision would also be a mistake. While Claire bites her tongue and looks over at the field, Susan takes on her role.
“We always do everything we are told. Father says and we should learn, so we learn. But do we get a thank you?” Susan looks at you angrily. "Claire only writes A's and when she writes a Bor even a C he always asks us why we didn't make more effort. And mother is always disappointed when we speak against him."
"We do everything so that he praises us," says the younger sister. "But that never happens. We always have to fight for everything and if we ever need a break, they let us go, but still give us all these tasks.” Angry she points to the folders and you can understand the frustration of the girls.
"And then Millie comes and always talks about how great you are and how much she means to you." At first, you look hard at Susan, but try to hold back. You now know that she is jealous of Millie and you can understand why. "Do you see? You are mad at me even now for making Millie look bad. Can you imagine what it is like for us? We experience that every day."
"Yes, I understand that," you say a little tortured. "But don't you think that the reason is a bit... well... difficult to understand. I mean, do you understand what you want from me?"
"What's wrong with praising us and saying we did a good job?" Claire wants to know. "Sure, there's nothing there when we eat or tidy up the room." She looks at the floor in shame. "But we enjoy someone telling us we are doing well. Millie has it so easy and we just like that it is so easy to please you.” Time to show the two a truth, but they can easily digest it.
"Yes, it's pretty easy to make me happy. And I admit that you're doing it pretty well." And now something serious. "But do you really think that qualifies us for... what actually? What do you expect from me?” Claire has no answer and Susan has to think about it first.
"We don't expect anything. We are not entitled to that. You chose Denise because she's feeling bad. You helped Millie too. Emma is strong and independent and the others are your sisters. We don't have anything that enables us to take care of us.” That hurts because you didn't want to treat them like that. But Susan is right, which doesn't make her sad face easier to bear. "We just want what the others have and we don't get it." She breaks off, painfully looks at you and then looks at her sister.
"If you say we did something well, the day is saved for us. It is just wonderful when we are with you and it is good how you treat us.” Claire can no longer keep her eyes on you.
"You really want that," you say. It is a senseless statement, it is obvious. But still, you have to give yourself and them this last resort. "You would come into a group that sticks together. I don't know if I can give you what you want."
"Can't we at least try?" asks Claire without looking at you. She is playing with her fingers in her lap. You moan softly and put your head back.
"It's not about trying," you say quietly and weakly. "The thing is already certain to me." Now they two look at you anxiously. "Of course I will take you in." First, the two do not understand, look at each other questioningly and then look into your face. They're looking for a joke, a 'haha, I fooled you', but they don't find one. You wait a few seconds.
"Really?" Claire asks, sounding more fragile than ever.
"If you say you are not well, I will help you." But it sounds strange to say that. Aside from the thrill of having two more girls in your group and hoping to make their lives a little better, the question is whether all of this makes sense. Or are you just satisfying your own desires? The two girls breathe in excitedly and Claire is the first to fall around your neck. Susan can only control herself a few seconds longer and immediately clings to you.
"I don't know if I'll regret it," you grumble under the two, but your voice is suppressed by their bodies.
"No way! We prove to you that this is the right decision.” You wriggle out between them and look at them seriously, which drives them back to their places.
"But you do what I tell you, okay?" you order sternly, but then grumble further: "It is difficult enough to take care of so many girls." You look at them and cannot suppress a friendlier grin. "After all, I want you to be fine." This saying alone conjures up a heart-warming smile on the two faces in front of you. If they are so easy to please, it shouldn't be a problem.
"So how are things going Biggie?" Megan asks and comes to the terrace to take a sip of cold water too.
"They are natural talents. I said the two of them can teach me some things.” Megan hugs you in her arms.
"Oh, I knew you would get along well. And? Are you now part of our small group?” she asks the two sisters. You tense up a bit under her, but Megan won't let you go. Claire and Susan look at each other and then both nod.
"I think so," says Susan.
"Finn allowed us to do it," adds Claire. "And we will not disappoint him."
"Of course you won't." Then Megan turns back to you. "I'm proud of you." She kisses you and then looks over at the sisters. “The first thing you need to know about Finn is that he's too worried about us. It's actually a good thing, but from time to time we girls have to stick together and make it clear to him that he has to enjoy life too.” The two sisters seem to understand that and they nod. You feel completely offbeat when you look at them.
"I think we can do it," says Susan, holding her sister's hands. Then your field of vision is again taken up by the body which belongs to Megan. Two breasts are deliberately held in your face and fog your senses.
"I'm going to take a quick shower now, and then the Lynchwood-siblings will make you something to eat." She moves away from you and calls the other girls a timeout.
The group gathers and, oddly enough, everyone looks at you and the McKinleys. It's like everyone expects you to officially present the two new additions. But this is awaited for a long time and so everyone goes inside.
"Shit," says Megan, looking up the stairs. “Either we do it like my brother or we fight for the shower."
"There is no fight here" you mean strictly. "We already had enough of that." You are universally approved. But still a decision has to be made.
"Finn?" Megan asked cheekily. "Who first?"
"Why should I decide?"
"Because you've been in most of us buddy," Karen says and Rachel giggles. Carrie is silent.
"Not at all" you murmur and look at the floor.
"Because you're the man in the house," says Millie, and everyone agrees with you here too. You look at your little sister. "So?"
"Soooo..."
