Any other new strangers about?

It was probably a long shot and a waste of a question. However, small towns and villages have denizens that are notoriously knowledgeable of happenings near their homes. Especially in any woods nearby.

“Tell me, have you heard any rumors that r seen anything...strange? Never mind me and the dead carpenter, but has anyone seen any strangers or creatures that may be atypical?”

The merchant stayed overtly pissed off at Marius’s it presence, but did appear to be out n thought. It took a minute before the merchant just shook his head, “Nope. Can’t say I have. Now away with you!”

“Well, it was worth a shot.”

It seemed his patience had run out. And not much was really gained. The investigation was still having a possible vampire suspect, which did not bode well with trying to find the murderer.
