It's not a thief...

The stranger shrieks as your rough tackle turns into a tumble bringing her face-first to the floor with you on top. While she is stunned you decide to test the security of your hold only to find that rather than grabbing the thief by the arms you were holding her breasts instead. "Pervert!" she cried while swinging your own staff at your head.

"Makoto! What are you doing?", Tialha shouted from behind the bar.

You stood up, nursing your new bruise with one hand and pointing with the other. "She was taking my..." you say weekly.

Tialha looks at you with deep concern, "You have travelled a long way haven't you. This is my daughter Faylen. She was just taking it up to your room. Has someone told you to join the Adventurers' Guild?"

"How did you know?" You ask while silently offering Faylen your bread. A stern look from her mother convinced her to accept your peace offering but she continued to glare at you. "Most guilds require a family member on the inside to vouch for you but, as the saying goes, the Adventurers Guild consist of Outcast and Orphans so you either are on the run or have lost your entire family."

...Tialha was right. You were never going to see your family again and no matter what you achieve here they will remember you as a failure. After a long pause you give her a nod, wipe a couple of tears from your eyes and say "I'm not ready to talk about it."

"Since you're going to join the guild, did your parents give you magic lessons?" You shake your head. "Faylen is going to receive her first lesson from my wife Ghilanna once she shows you to your room. I'll ask that she teaches you as well."

Faylen picks up your rucksack and leads the way upstairs. You can't help but admire her looks as you follow. She's shorter than you but much curvier as you felt earlier. With each step her hips swing one way and her waist-length, navy-blue ponytail flicks the other.
