Chapter 3 by dialectic dialectic

What is her plan?

Changing with the boys (alternate)

She wanted to do something that would leave her exposed to all of her male classmates, but keep them from thinking along lines that would put her in danger. Natalie decided that she'd put a sort of mental block on all of the boys, so that they would naturally accept that it was normal for her to change in the boys room and would basically treat her as a guy, but would still intellectually realise that she was a girl and react physically to her presence. For good measure, she made the PE teacher and her fellow female classmates slot her in the 'guy' category as well.

It was risky. Never before had she manipulated a group of people so heavily. It wasn't as difficult as, say, making everyone actually see her as a boy, but it was still a bit of a challenge to fog so many people's thinking at once. 24 students and one teacher would have to be manipulated at the same time to miscategorise her on an abstract level, and 12 of them would be boys who she'd be alone with in the changing room.

Natalie built up the mental block on each student in turn, in the hallway. She stood by the girls room, flipping their switches as they filed in, and the boys as they passed.

When she had 20 of the students, she could feel a sort of tension, like elastic bands trying to snap back into position. It was not mentally or physically exhausting, but in a very different way.

The final girl, Felicity, actually turned to give her an appraising look. "Don't you have somewhere to be? Other than the door to the girls changing room?" Felicity cocked an eyebrow as she carefully closed the door behind her. Success!

Natalie flipped the last of the boys switches as they came down the hall, and strutted in to the boys' changing room.

What happens there ?
