One girl gets dressed; another gets undressed

Just a few minutes ago at present Clara's stolen TARDIS:

"Oh, look, Buffy," said Amy as she sauntered out to the main room of the TARDIS wearing a long black dress. "I finally found a dress to wear."

"Oh, cool!" said Buffy, still hoping to find something that would cover her own naked body. "I don't suppose you could find something for me too?"

"No, sorry," said Amy. "This was it. Apparently all that Tara and Rose found back there was a spool of thread and it just so happens that Willow knew a spell that could create a whole dress out of a spool of --"

"And they could only make one?" asked Buffy.

"Actually they made three," said Amy.

"So where's mine?" asked Buffy.

"Where's your what?" asked Amy.

"My dress?" asked Buffy with just a slight tone of exasperation.

"Oh, they didn't make you a dress," said Amy. "They made one for me, Willow and Tara and that was it. Apparently the spell could do only so much with so little."

"So why didn't I get one of those three dresses?" asked Buffy with gritted teeth.

"Good question," said Amy. "I guess because you weren't there."

"Amy," said Buffy with gritted teeth, "I have a good mind to --"

"Hey, Buffy," said Willow as she entered the room wearing a green dress. "How's it going?"

"How come I didn't get a dress?" asked Buffy.

"I thought you didn't wear dresses anymore," said Willow. "After your first year as a Slayer here at Sunnydale, you kinda gave them up because you found it way too hard to fight vampires while you were wearing a skirt."

"You know that's not what I meant, Willow," said Buffy. "Right now I'd wear anything if it would help cover up my nakedness."

"Even a thong?" asked Amy. "Because I've heard that those can look pretty tacky."

"Not helping," said Willow to Amy.

Then she turned to Buffy. "I'm sorry, Buffy. Maybe next time we can --"

"Maybe next time we can do what?" asked Tara as she entered the main room wearing a red dress. Present Rose immediately followed her, still wearing the same blue dress as before.

"Buffy wants to know why we didn't make her a dress," said Willow.

"Well, that's a good question," said Tara. "Why didn't we make her a dress?"

"You know why we didn't," said Willow. "We ran out of thread and that magic spell will go only so far."

"So?" asked Tara. "Why not lend her your dress?"

"Er, because I need it," said Willow.

"Well, I need mine too," said Tara, "but since Buffy is the one who has to go outside..."

And with that, Tara took off her dress and handed it to Buffy.

"Er, I didn't mean to inconvenience you, Tara," said Buffy.

"No worries," said Tara. "Thanks to Rose here, I now have a servant who will literally give me the shirt off her back if I ever get too cold. Besides, I love Willow and Amy to **** but I'll have to admit that neither one of them are good sharers."

"Hey, I heard that!" cried Amy.

"Just the same..." Buffy started to say.

Then the conversation was interrupted by the sound of an explosion.

"My Goddess!" cried Tara. "That sounded like it came from outside. Probably near the church or something."

"Cool!" cried Amy, ignoring glares from Willow and Tara.

"I guess I better go investigate," said Buffy.

"I guess I better go with you," said Willow.

"I better go too," said Amy. "How about you, Tara?"

"Seriously?" asked Tara, suddenly feeling self-conscious again about her nakedness. "Er, I'll just stay here with Rose in case Missy tries to get in."

"Okay," said Amy. "Suit yourself."

And with that, Buffy, Willow and Amy were out the door.
