[Jessica's POV]

"Wake up, you layabouts!", Catherine yells, startling Jessica awake. Catherine, with blinding speed, throws the curtains open. Reflexively, Jessica looks for cover from the sun. In her haste, Jessica gets tangled in the blankets and falls off the bed. Getting her bearings, she rubs her eyes and realizes it is already way past sundown.

"It's nighttime you morons" Catherine laughs. Mary sits up in the bed, yawning and stretching. "You ladies slept a lot. The sun's been down for over an hour."

"I'm still tired" Mary says groggily.

"Because you're starving yourself" Catherine says. "But no worries! I brought breakfast!". Jessica's stomach rumbles. I am starving Jessica thinks, somehow still sore from the previous night's fighting. I could drink three full humans she thinks. ...But I won't.

"No thanks, I'm good" Mary says, rising from the bed and going to the bathroom. She shuts the door behind her. Before she does, she gives Jessica a reproachful look. Jessica looks at the floor.

"What about you?" Catherine asks, turning to Jessica.

"I'll have some" Jessica says sheepishly. Catherine grins widely.

"Good, I hate eating alone" Catherine says, walking out of the room. She is wearing the same blood stained jeans from the previous night.

Jessica, still nude from last night, follows Catherine into the master bedroom. On the bed, she finds two young women, bound and gagged. Her mouth begins to water as she sees them squirming on the bed.

"They were surprisingly easy to snatch. I found them a few hundred yards down the road, jogging" Catherine says. "Come" Catherine says, climbing onto the bed," feed with me. Jessica stomach rumbles again. I'll be careful...I can control myself Jessica thinks to herself as she walks towards the bed.

Catherine yanks one of the women to her knees, holding her head back by the back of her hair, exposing her throat. The woman's hands are bound behind her back. Jessica can see the artery pulsing in the woman's neck.

"Jessica. After you" Catherine says, her fangs extended. With her other hand, she lightly taps her fingers on the woman's offered throat.

Jessica's body urges her forward, the hunger is implacable. Even as her mind screams stop, don't do this, Jessica finds herself climbing onto the bed. Gripping the woman's arms, she bends, smelling the human's intoxicating aroma. Her fangs extend.

Jessica cranes her neck down. Her fangs pierce the woman's skin at the base of her neck. The woman flinches, and screams into the gag, but Jessica and Catherine hold her in place. Jessica tastes blood. Her lips close around the bite, and she starts to drink. Closing her eyes, Jessica focuses on the the flavor of the warm blood running over her tongue. Her misgivings melt away as she drinks the girl.

Catherine reaches between Jessica's legs her finger stroking Jessica's exposed slit. Jessica moans, her fangs still in the human.

"Seems like someone's enjoying herself" Catherine says wickedly. I am enjoying myself Jessica thinks. Catherine brushes the girl's hair to the side, biting into the other side of the human's neck. Catherine and Jessica drink deeply from the human between them. The only sounds in the silent bedroom are the vampiresses gulping and their victim's whimpering. The woman has been devoured after only a few minutes.

The woman's body slumps to the side, and Catherine pulls on the back of Jessica's neck, pulling her in for a kiss. Catherine's tongue rolls over Jessica's lips, as they moan into each other's mouths. Catherine pulls on Jessica's hair, pulling her head back, and licks from the base of Jessica's neck to her ear. Jessica shudders, her arousal increasing. Catherine looks at the second girl. The human's eyes dart back and forth in terror.

"Still hungry?" Catherine asks. Jessica nods, panting. Catherine crawls towards the girl, who tries to squirm away. Catherine pins her down, ripping the girl's shirt down the middle. Jessica advances, pulling off the girl's shorts. The vampiresses strike in unison. Jessica bites into the girl's thigh, as Catherine sinks her fangs into the human's breast. They drink and drink. After some time, Catherine withdraws her fangs, pulling Jessica off the human.

"We should save some for Jade" Catherine says, wiping her mouth on the sheets. "Let's go find Mary."

Jessica is relieved that Jade is still in the basement, handcuffed to the pipe like they left her. Jade hisses when the three vampiresses descend the basement steps. Catherine carries the **** second girl along over her shoulder.

Jessica smiles weakly at Mary, who turns away. Mary has been giving Jessica the cold shoulder since they woke up. Jessica will ask later...

"Let me go you fucking traitors" Jade snarls, yanking on the handcuffs.

"We'll see" Catherine says. "You must be hungry, Jade" Catherine taunts, dumping the human girl at Jade's feet. "Cooperate, and her blood is yours".

"Go fuck yourself" Jade spits. Catherine walks forward, and surprises Jessica by punching Jade hard in the jaw.

"Where is Elizabeth?" Catherine demands calmly.

"As if I know?" Jade says, rolling her jaw back and forth.

"If you want to feed, you might want to start talking" Catherine says, nudging the **** girl with her toe. "If you truly don't know anything, I guess you've outlived your usefulness...."

"How can you do this to your own kind, Catherine? Have you no sense of family?" Jade asks frantically.

"Does Elizabeth?" Catherine shouts bitterly. "She left you Jade. You're a diversionary tactic to her. That's how Elizabeth views family." Even Jessica is stung by the harshness of the words. The fight goes out of Jade's eyes. She looks at the floor. Jessica thinks that she sees a lone tear form in the corner of Jade's eye.

After a pause, Jade speaks. "Leave me alone" she mutters. Catherine turns back to Mary and Jessica.

"We'll try again when she's....hungrier" Catherine says softly. In the meantime, let's brainstorm. Catherine stomps away up the stairs.

When Jessica and Mary reach the top of the basement stairs, they hear that Catherine is already on the second floor, showering. Jessica tugs on Mary's arm, holding her back.

"Mary, can we talk?" Jessica asks. Tears begin to well in her eyes.

Mary sighs, and turns to face Jessica. Mary's look of disappointment makes Jessica feel three inches tall.

"Jessica... What exactly do you want me to say?" Mary says coldly. "That this is hard? That we all fall off the wagon sometimes? That we'll get through this together?" Mary makes an exaggerated sign of the cross on her torso, and holds out her fingers. "I absolve you of your murders" Mary says sarcastically. "You're a big girl, Jessica. You aren't a newborn anymore. Grow the fuck up."

Every word pierces Jessica. Jessica tries to **** back the tears, but can't. She begins to cry.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't... I couldn't stop myself. I didn't want to, but Catherine is so seductive" Jessica pleads.

"Bullshit. That's bullshit, Jessica" Mary says quietly. After a long silence, she speaks again. "You wanted to feed, you wanted to kill. You wanted it, and you did it."

Jessica cries harder, as tentacles of self loathing constrict across her. She wants to hide.

"I'm sorry..." Jessica whispers. Deep down, Jessica knows that Mary is right. "I didn't ask to be turned" Jessica says softly, the words sounding thin even to her.

"You didn't ask. But you love it. I know you do" Mary says sternly. "I don't quite know what to make of you, to be honest, Jessica. I'm glad that you are on our side and all. But until, what, a week ago, you were a happy footsoldier in Elizabeth's nightmare? I'm supposed to believe that one chat with Carmilla, and all of the sudden you've found religion?"

Jessica turns to face the wall, her face in her hands. She's right. I love being a vampire. I hate being a vampire, too, though. Maybe I should just kill myself. Jessica feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns. Mary's expression has softened.

"You are the only one responsible for your actions, Jessica. Not Elizabeth. Not Diana. Not Catherine. You. As long as you keep making excuses, as long as you succumb to your urges, you'll never be free" Mary says calmly. She pats Jessica on the shoulder, and walks out of the room.
