Legendary Battle! Moltres Vs. Heatran

Metal grinding echoes through the caves. You'd been searching for a way out for ten minutes when the sound of metal on metal pierces the cavern. Ugh! What a noise. Even Bulbasaur and Rhyhorn looked pain by it. Then you hear some sort of screeching that sounds like a large bird. You have Rhyhorn follow the noise.

You come across a lake of Molten lava, and perhaps the most frightening thing you gave seen. The legendary Pokemon Moltres is fighting the legendary Pokemon Heatran. This isn't good. Doesn't Heatran cause volcanos to erupt? You don't want this thing causing an eruption while you're in here. It looks like Moltres doesn't want it here either.

The fiery bird breathes gouts of fire at the lava dome Pokemon but it just seems to glow brighter from the attack. Heatran opens its mouth and lets out a Metal Sound, stunning the fire bird and causing you to cover your ears. That explains what that awful noise was.

As Heatran screams, the earth begins to tremble and lava begins to bubble and spray. If this goes on much longer, that thing is going to cause an eruption. You have to do something! Releasing all your Pokemon from your belt you put your plan into motion.

"Slowpoke! Shellder! Use Bubble Beam on the lava! We need to solidify that stuff before it erupts. Rhyhorn! Slugma! Use Rock Slide. Help those two by burying as much of the lake as you can in rocks." You start barking out orders.

You, Bulbasaur, and Wobbuffet watch on as the other four get to work trying to shore up the lake of fire while Moltres and Heatran battle. It's a one sided fight though, as nothing Moltres throws at the metal clad Pokemon has any effect on it. In fact, it just seems to be growing stronger.

Finally, Heatran releases a burst of Ancient Power; energy from the very earth itself spewing from the metal faced Pokemon's mouth and engulfing Moltres in a wave of sand and stone.

"Mol!" The fiery bird shrieks as it goes sailing into a nearby ledge of jagged rocks. That is when the lava dome Pokemon finally notices you and your Pokemon, and realizes what you're doing.

"Raaaan!" The grinding metal of its Metal Voice sends you and your Pokemon flying backwards from the shockwave. All the effort your Pokemon put into shoring up the lava is undone in an instant as it reheats and bubbles even stronger than before.

This is so not good. In fact, this is downright dangerous! Forget about the eruption, if that thing attacks you, you're dead! As it opens up it's mouth again; lava oozes out of it like foam. Then it fires a Lava Plume straight at you from across the cavern. You do the only thing you can think of to do; you scream and close your eyes.

"Wobb!"

You open your eyes and find your Wobbuffet standing between you and the Lava Plume, taking the hit for you. "Wobbuffet!" You scream in horror. But to your surprise, he's enduring it. That's when you notice the headband around his head.

"I-is that a Focus Sash?" You shout in confusion. It is! It is a Focus Sash! All those times doing his best imitation of a clothes line, he must have snatched it up. You realize that it was probably him and not one of the boys that had stolen your bra. Who knew your Pokemon's weird underwear fetish would save your life?

"Buuuuffet!" Wobbuffet shouts as his body turns a liquid gold as he finishes soaking up the Lava Plume and counters with a Mirror Coat. The flash of metal energy makes the cave itself rumble before it goes crashing into Heatran.

The lava dome Pokemon shrieks as it slides backwards, being hit by blast with over twice the **** it had put out. When the blast dissipates, there is a huge crack in the face mask of the Pokemon, and it is bleeding liquid lava.

"Raaan!" The Heatran shrieks before a burst of lava shoots up around it, obscuring it from view. When the lava dissipates, the Pokemon is gone, having fled after the beating it took.

"W-we did it? We won? I mean... We won! We beat Heatran and stopped the eruption!" You cheer, to the celebration of your Pokemon. You rush and give your Wobbuffet a hug.

"Wobb!" He says, giving a salute before passing out.

"You did great, Wobbuffet. Have a rest!" You tell him affectionately, before returning him to his Pokeball.
