Drinks

Spencer sat in his study, working his way through another freelance assignment when his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Jasmine."

"How's it going Jazzy?"

"Yeah great. Amber's tattoo shop did fantastic today."

"Really? That's great to hear."

"Anyway, we're going to go out for drinks at McClaren's and I was wondering if you wanted to come?"

"Sure. So it's just you and Amber?"

"And Nathan, Amber's business partner. He might have a plus one too if he's married. Anyway, what time would suit you?"

"Uh, how does 8 work for you?"

"Should be cool. I'll call you if it isn't."

"Sure thing. See you soon."

"See you Spence."

Having been dropped off by an Uber, Spencer headed inside McClaren's, where he found Jasmine and Amber at a pool table talking with a tall man with tattoos and a short mohawk. Amber then bent down to take her shot, showing off ample cleavage to Jasmine and other patrons. After taking her shot, Spencer said "Hey guys."

"Oh hey Spencer." Jasmine said.

"Hey guys."

"Hey." The man said. "I'm Nathan."

"Pleasure to meet you." The two shook hands. "Everyone after another round?"

"I'm good. Gotta drive." Nathan replied.

"You'll want one." Amber interjected.

Nathan looked over to the pool table, to see that Amber had won. "Dammit."

"Want a victory drink?" Spencer asked.

"Yes I think a victory vodka and coke is on order."

"Make it two." Jasmine added.

After a nod, Spencer walked up to the bar and ordered three drinks. After handing out the drinks, Spencer said "So how did today go Amber?"

"Great. About twice as many as I thought we'd get."

"Twice nothing is nothing dear." Jasmine said.

Spencer let out a slight laugh. "Well I'm glad to hear it."

"Maybe we'll have to get you in, eh?"

"Uhh, maybe."

"C'mon Spence. I'm sure you'll have no ra-grets."

"Well if you spell like that I might invest in a tattoo removal place."

Amber let out a laugh. "Fair enough. So how are you Spencer?"

"I'm great."

"And Amy?"

"Yeah, real good. Glad that someone's been teaching me."

"Heh. On that, Jasmine told me about your idea?"

"Yeah?"

"Maybe once I'm a little more settled in we could work things out?"

"Sure. Whenever you're ready."

"Cool."

That's when Jasmine called out. "Hey you two?"

"Yeah?"

"Pool. Battle of the sexes. Losers pay for the next round."

"Babe if you have another I think you'll be seeing doubles."

Jasmine makes a half-rectangle with her thumbs and fingers, in which she puts Spencer and Amber. "Well I like what I see so far so why not?"

"Okay then."

The two proceeded to play pool. Whilst Amber did her best to use her cleavage as a tactical distraction, her wife's drunken state had impaired her aim, causing her to sink the 8-ball rather swiftly. As Amber headed to the bar, Nathan said "Yeah, I better call it a night."

"Of course. See you soon Nathan."

"Yeah. Great to meet you Spence."

"Sure was."

As Nathan left, Jasmine walked over to Spencer.

"You think it's time to call it a night too?" She gave Spencer a wink to further hint at her obvious intentions.
