Cooking with Amber

Later that day, Spencer answered the door, finding Amber waiting for him.

"Hey Spencer."

"Hey."

"You wanna help me with the bags?"

"Oh it's alright. I've only got the one."

"Oh, okay."

"That a problem?"

"Well, normally Jasmine brings extra so I can cook for tonight."

"Oh shit... sorry Spence."

"It's okay. I can go shopping later. Come on in." Amber followed Spencer inside as he then asked "So how are you?"

"Yeah good Spence. You?"

"I'm great too."

"Cool."

"How's the tattoo shop going?"

"Yeah all good. Pretty much just waiting now."

"Nervous?"

"A little. Never really been this involved with the business side of things, but it should all work out."

"Should do."

"So what about you Spencer? Get up to much last night?" Amber opened the trunk of her car.

"Not really."

"Well, let's change that." She handed him a bag of groceries.

"So what's on the menu today?"

"Well, I thought we could do Pad Thai Noodles like Jasmine did last week. I mean I don't know if it'll quite be as amazing as hers, but it should be good."

"I'm sure it'll be great Amber."

"Sure."

Amber did find herself somewhat nervous to begin with, knowing she wasn't half the cook Jasmine was, but as things moved forward, she found Spencer wasn't really struggling. Maybe all he needed was a bit of confidence and some tasty recipes to follow. By the time he was done, the two were digging into a delicious meal of Pad Thai Noodles that she knew would even impress Jasmine.

"That was great Spencer."

"Thanks."

"So, I guess we got a bit of time."

"That we do."
