Chapter 9
What sort of person will Grant be?
Selfish, but not a monster
Grant was a god now. But there were so many things he could do that benefited him that also weren't horrifying. He didn't have to hurt anyone, kill anyone. He could alter their minds, throw them in a cell with a word. Maiming and killing, he never needed to do that sort of thing again.
Still, he was going to take at least one thing from Coulson.
"Coulson, you brought me here to make me the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. The job has become too stressful for you, and now that you've forgiven me, you can see that I am the perfect candidate. You've just given me access to all of S.H.I.E.L.D's files and databases."
"Yes I have, Grant. Or should I say, Director Ward." Coulson acknowledged. Grant couldn't help the smirk he gave in reply.
"Have you told anyone else about my promotion?" Grant asked, curious if his changed to reality could alter things without him mentioning them directly.
"No, no one. It's going to be... difficult to persuade some of them, Director." That was a no then. Good. Grant would hate to have to make up for any unintended changes. This made everything a lot less complicated.
"Don't worry about persuading them, Agent. I can handle that on my own. You trust me." Coulson was almost about to protest, until Grant's last words.
"Yes, Director. I'll leave you to it, then." Coulson left promptly, leaving Grant in his new office. Grant started laughing again. Godhood suited him.
What does Grant do next?

Truth of the Matter
Words DO mean something
A man or woman gains the power to speak things into reality: What they say, goes. Will they be responsible with this power? Will they use it to make the world a better place? Or will they change the world around them for their own pleasure?
