Chapter 7 by Honeybunni Honeybunni

Which is best though?

Gotta be the blue dress

I text back: 'I guess the dress looks pretty good on you.' The less involved I get with this new personality of hers, the better.

I get dressed in my workout gear before leaving the house. Lily's car is gone, she must be away to see a boy. The gym isn't TOO far away so I decide to walk (I guess the journey is also part of exercise).

Walk through the neighbourhood isn't as bad as I thought. Usually there would be plenty of people out, always looking to make small talk, a trait I am not fond of. But today it seems pretty calm, no one is out.

My phone buzzes. That must be Mom!

Mom: i knew you would help <3

Attached is another picture, one of her back in her normal clothes, brandishing the bag of what seems to be the purchased outfit. After all these sexy photos, I can't help but admire her curves even in this toned down outfit.

I look up from my phone and nearly drop it. Walking past the park, I see her, with headphones in and walking her Jack Russel. Rebecca.

I have known Rebecca since I was 13, and since then I've had the biggest crush on her. Not only is she absolutely stunning with beauty, she is smart and funny aswell. I have never been brave enough to ask her out, if only because of her apparent disinterest.

I go to turn the other way, looking to avoid an awkward encounter, before I am suddenly hit with a strike of lightning. Maybe THIS is why I had that dream of Aphrodite! My brain was telling myself to go for it! Perhaps this is why it is sticking to me so much?

Steeling myself, I walk up behind Rebecca, nervous still in my stomach. She turns around, with a look of surprise.

'Ah John! Didn't see you there! Are you heading to gym.' The way she talks and smiles just brings warmth to me.

'Ye-yeah!' I say, perhaps a little too enthusiastically 'Gotta stay in tip top shape!'

Her dog runs up and jumps on my leg. 'Oh hey boy, how are you.' I pet him behind the ears. 'So uh... Rebecca... I was just thinking and uh...' I'm cut off.

She is texting on her phone, smirking at the screen. My heart falls. Perhaps this wasn't a good idea. 'Oh sorry, this guy was just sending funny stuff and I had to respond. What's up?' She smiles and looks at me.

I start to feel sick. This was a bad idea. 'Oh no it wasn't important. I've got to get to gym anyway, I'll see you.' Giving the dog one last pet I leave. That was stupid, John, going after her based on a dream. Get real, man, she'll never be into you! I don't even hear her call her goodbyes after me as I walk towards the gym, ready to forget what just happened.

Workout time?
