Getting my pump on

I walk into the gym, already smelling like sweat. I hope a bit of working out can help me forget the absolute weirdness of today. Both the awkwardness with Rebecca and the pictures Mom sent from the shopping centre, my brain has been in a funk. The six months I have been going to this gym though has taught me sweat and work can help the mind greatly. Or something else inspirational.

As I get warmed up and set up my weights, I notice I am not stuggling as much as I once did with the weights. This new body definitely has more benefits than just looks! I nearly double my usual weights before getting ready to start lifting. I might not even have to work out considering this sudden muscle gain.

As I lift, I ponder todays events and the dream I had last night. Perhaps the Aphrodite thing WAS real? Obviously it had nothing to do with Rebecca, but maybe it explains Mom's odd new personality. God knows the greeks had very messed up views on relationships, maybe your Mom being in love with you is normal for them.

The training session is nearly over, but I decide to leave early seeing as a large group of tough looking people have entered, looking to take over. I quickly have a shower to get rid of my sweat, hoping not to make contact woth any of this tough crowd

After I leave the door, I get another text from Mom.

'I'll be waiting for you when you get back from gym. Be sure to have a shower xx'
