Chapter 96 by zewesman zewesman

John turned his head to look at the doorway where a figure stood.

The Derp Chronicles Special! Derp Sliders Part 1!

Hi everyone, Zewesman here! Now I know some of my readers are getting a bit tired of my Derp Chronciles chapters but this is a special one, as you can see, it's a multipart chapter. But not only is it a multipart chapter, but its a multipart chapter over two channels! That's right! Myself, the creator of Yatina, and Izix, the creator of Mimi, have teamed up to make a craaaaaaaaaazy multipart mini story staring our characters. I hope you all enjoy these upcoming chapters!

“Ok, let’s go to town and get these supplies before this goes down,” John said to Idena as the two walked to the Crystal Room to teleport to John’s room. The potential battle that loomed before John and his kingdom weighted heavily on his mind. There was no way this ended well for anyone. Either John’s kingdom is destroyed and everyone is dead, or he is victorious but makes a lifelong enemy in the process. This feast will hopefully take everyone’s mind off this and let us celebrate being together one last time, John thought as the two reached the crystal.

“This feast is a great idea, master. You truly are a wise and generous king,” praised Idena. Her words meant to pick John up as his demeanor turned cold and angry because of all the stress and pressure he had accrued. Idena was determined to cheer up John on this trip no matter what. That was what led Idena to volunteer to go with John shopping to get the supplies for the feast. Unbeknown to the two travelers, they were being stalked by two creatures far worse than the challenge John and Idena were attempting to forget about.

“So, on the count of three, we’ll jump on them!” an excited Mimi whispered rather loudly to Yatina.

“Yep! And then we’ll go with them to the real world!” Yatina responded, giddy with excitement.

“Nobody ever lets me go there! It’s always ‘It’s not safe for you, Mimi!’ or ‘Maybe later, Mimi.’ or ‘We need to get you a disguise first, Mimi.’ Well I’m tired of waiting! I wanna go there now!” fumed Mimi, her sneks all hissing as she gave an angry rant about the adults never letting her visit the real world.

“I can’t wait to go, either! I’ve only been there as a dragon whelp! I can’t wait to go there as a dragongirl! I can talk to people now! And hold things! Ah man, you have no idea how awesome thumbs are!” Yatina told Mimi as she wiggled her thumbs around. Mimi nodded in agreement as she wiggled her own thumbs.

“They are pretty neat!”

“Oh, oh, look! They are about to go!” pointed out Yatina as the two girls perked up from their crouching position to see John and Idena stop in front of a teleportation crystal. The two girls quietly snuck up behind John and Idena, waiting for the perfect time to strike.

“Ok, let’s go, Idena,” John said as he reached out and touched the crystal.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!” shouted the two preteen as they launched themselves at the two unexpected adults. John and Idena turned around just in time to see the two preteen girls flying through the air at them. John catches Yatina, his stat enhancements allowed him to catch her and not suffer any knockback effects from the tackle. Idena, however, was not as lucky when Mimi crashed into her.

Idena, startled by the sudden jump attack, stumbled backwards into the crystal while releasing a torrent of electricity all over her body as a defense mechanism. Idena pushed Mimi off to protect her from the streaks of lightning arcing from Idena’s body. The crystal, however, was not so lucky as the lightning was drawn to the magical object. The crying Gorgon let out a sudden blast of derp energy in her scared state, the crystal absorbing that as well. The crystal glowed brighter and brighter as the combination of teleportation and derp magic swirled together as the electricity coursed through the crystal until the light was so great that all four of the occupants had to close their eyes to not be blinded. Suddenly, the foursome were sucked into a portal created by the crystal, but unlike the instantaneous transportation the crystal normally provided, this one felt like they were flying in cylindrical fashion. John opened his eyes and saw his earlier fight with Moira, then his fight with Sancho, and other parts of his last week. He glanced over to see Mimi and Yatina clutching each other as they cried, the two overwhelmed with fear at being hurled through this portal. John saw an **** Idena floating near him, so he grabbed her and held her close to protect her from what happened.

“Mimi! Yatina!” shouted John as he tried to get the two girls’ attention, but their wailing drowned out anything he attempted to say to them. “Those girls are too loud sometimes…” John said in resignation as he continued to look at the pictures along the portal. This time, the walls showed John but with a girl in a maid outfit before switching to him with a mechanical spider and then shifting to him surrounded by two pregnant elves.

“Ugh…what…what are all those pictures of you?” asked a groggy Idena as she slowly regained consciousness. John gave her a kiss on the forehead, happy to see her awake and apparently healthy.

“Well, if I’d have to hazard a guess, I’d say we are pulling a Sliders right about now,” he told the harpy.

“Sliders?” asked a very confused Idena.

“Ah right, a show from the late 90s to early 2000s. Basically, a group of people go through a quantum wormhole trying to find their correct universe after being lost in the multiverse. It looks like we’re seeing other versions of me,” he explained as they watched more versions of himself pass by them. “But we need to go get those two and make sure we all exit at the same time,” commanded John as he and Idena attempted to swim over to the two young derplings.

“WAAAAAAAAAAA!” cried out Mimi as the two got closer to her and Yatina.

“I WANNA GO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!” came Yatina as she nuzzled Mimi in an attempt to feel better.

“Girls! Give me your hand!” yelled John who was able to get the girls attention.

“B-Big bro John?” asked Mimi as she looked to where the voice was coming from.

“M-master?” asked Yatina as she did the same. John reached out his left hand in an attempt to grab the two girls as his right hand made sure to keep Idena close. Mimi and Yatina reached out in an attempt to grab ahold of John’s outstretched hand, their fingers grazing each other. In a blink of the eye, however, the two girls were pulled into a new universe as Idena’s tail grazed its border. The two screamed in horror as they were sucked into the universe.

“Nooooooooooooo!” cried John as he watched the two disappear. “Quick, Idena, we must get into that universe!” said John as he and Idena attempted their hardest to get to the border. The two struggled as hard as they could against the natural current of the portal. Idena, at the last moment, swung her hair at the portal. The two watched in silence as the hair grazed the portal and appeared to not touch it, yet her hair glowed as it stopped near the border.

“A single hair must have touched it!” exclaimed Idena as she felt herself being pulled into the portal.

“Good, let’s go get our girls back,” John said as he felt himself also dragged into the portal to this new universe, his vision going black.

When John’s vision returned, he saw the ceiling of his bedroom. He turned his head to the left and saw that Idena was next to him and was waking up as well. A quick glance to the desk showed no miniature transportation crystal, confirming that they were in a different universe than their own.

“Everything looks about the same,” Idena said as she scanned the room. “Although the crystal is missing. So does that mean this version of you doesn’t have a kingdom?” she asked.

“Looks like it. Or there’s another way to get there. But we are missing two little girls. We’ll have to find them before we can even think about getting home,” John realized as he got out of bed and exited his bedroom.

Meanwhile in the woods outside Springfield

“Ugh. What happened?” asked a groggy Mimi as her and her sneks looked around, only seeing sky and stone. Next to her, Mimi noticed an equally groggy Yatina slowly waking up as well.

“Oww. My butt hurts!” whined Yatina as she rubbed her butt. She, too, looked around and saw the same stone and open sky as Mimi. She, however, decided to walk over to the edge of the stone and gasped at what she saw.

“What? Whaaaaat?!” asked Mimi as she came over and witnessed what Yatina did.

“OH MY GOD! A CAMPGROUND!” yelled Mimi from the top of the building they were on.

“YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!” asked Yatina in an equally loud tone. The two looked at each other with giant grins as they answered at the same time.

“S’MORES!” yelled the two as the people on the ground looked up to spot the young gorgon and dragon girl.

Back in Springfield

“Everything looks basically the same,” John told Idena as the two walked down the street of downtown Springfield, Idena in her human disguise. The two had visited various shops that John remembered from his universe and they all were there so far.

“But who knows what changes have happened. Perhaps the people in this universe are different? Maybe Moira is actually a nice and helpful person,” mused Idena as the two continued their way down the road, not exactly sure what they were looking for.

“Come on now, Idena, her being a bitch is clearly a multiverse constant. It has to be!” replied John in a joking tone, the two smiling at each other for the first time since the whole ordeal started. “I wonder if this universe has a Gaia too, and if she’d be helpful enough to tell us where our missing girls are,” pondered John, hoping for once that those annoying pop ups would appear.

Yes I do exist here, too, ya dick. Your Gaia is on my ass about “stealing” you from her! Now I gotta deal with this bitch while helping you get back! God damn John Newmans, always a pain no matter what universe they’re in!

“Well, that answers that.”

“Yeah, and she’s just as sassy here as she is back home,” pointed out Idena.

“Yes, thank you for reminding me…”

Oh, and head to the woods in the park. There’s a permanent barrier there whose inhabitants will gladly help you. You’ll understand why when you get there. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave fun!

“That…sounds strangely ominous…” a worried John said as he and Idena turned around to get to the nearby bus stop. The park was on the other side of the city from where they were, so that was the only way to get there in a timely manner.

“What’s the worst that could happen? There be two Mimis?” joked Idena at the absurd idea.

“Oh Asshole Goddess, I hope not. I can barely handle one!” said John as the two barely reached the bus stop in time to not miss the bus. “Let’s hope this all works out well.”
