Relent or Persist?
Persist, peacefully
"Hmmm...harming your store just by standing here, right?"
"Yeah! And I'll kindly ask you to stop, before I cry bloody ****!"
Well, this was one way to get what he wanted, and Marius wouldn't need to kill anybody or destroy anything. So, at that point he'll still have enough good graces with the village to continue his job here.
Marius just widened his stance and crossed his arms over his chest, "Well...by that logic, the longer I stand here, the more damage I do, right?"
"Yes, now just go-"
"And I wouldn't recommend screaming to get some thugs to **** me. You know of my kind...I'll just wind up killing everyone in this village. Wouldn't exactly be good business for you afterwards if there's no one around to buy your produce."
"But-"
"So you can't **** me away. And I'm not leaving until I get the answers I'm looking for. Now, you can continue playing this the hard way and I just stand here while I magically damage your store's reputation to the point you go bankrupt. Or, you can tell me what I want and I go. It's your choice."
The merchant looked like he was fuming and about to explode on Marius. But one could also tell he was thinking about the situation he was in. He then let out an exasperated groan and flew his hands up in the air, "Fine! You win, you bastard. Ask your damn questions!"
Marius grunted, "Bastard...it's better than monster, at least. Glad to see you decide to be reasonable."
Marius looked around the marketplace and saw the stares that were on him. The vendor wasn't doing any better, maybe even worse since he got talked over. Marius figured he can only get a couple questions out him before things got hairy. Better make it count.
What to ask?
Conflicts of Divine Interest
When Pantheons Misbehave
The world of Aesyr is a world of divinity and conflict. Three sides with their own believes collide in battles of war and political intrigue. But one thing is consistent...the ever evolving pantheon. The gods switch out their own rulers in a cosmic lottery. This year, it just so happens to have all the gods and goddesses of lust and conquest to be victorious.
