You feel hot, almost burning, as the explosion engulfs your body; along with the deep thud in your chest from the shock wave. As the ear-splitting cries of the apes are cut off. Soon afterward you feel the rotting flesh of the creature fly past, the bits of carrion tearing the hut you are hiding behind, to pieces.

As you feel the flesh rain down around you, you begin to hope that Yasmin has managed to escape with Rachel safely.

Soon after the shock wave dissipates, you feel a warm rain begin to fall down, landing down upon you.

"What?" you say, or at least you try to, you are unable to hear it.

You begin to stand up, losing balance you stumble around.

"Fuck" once again, you cannot hear it.

You begin to catch yourself and look around, you are in shock, and the rain is red? Looking at your hands, they are covered in the red mist, no wait that's, blood.

"AHH" you scream as a ringing begins to overtake your hearing.

Bits of rotting stinking flesh is raining around you, the bodies of apes torn apart from the debris and the gunfight littering the ground. You see a couple of "grey" apes stumbling around one is twice the size of the others. Thinking quickly, you grab your rifle and trying to aim in your dizziness fire at the survivors. The larger one takes multiple shots to take down, almost reaching you.

Your weapon is sticky with the fluid and steams as it boils after firing. The ringing in your ears is still going on; however, your hearing is beginning to come back.

"AHHH" you yell again, this time you can hear it.

You're a mess covered with blood, and you are in tremendous pain. Remembering the spear, you reach back.

It seems that the spear was ripped from your body during the explosion. With a bleeding wound left in its place, as you touch it, it begins to burn.

"FUCK" you curse as the pain causes you to double over.

You then hear a bloodcurdling scream as you are knocked back. Looking up, you see the enormous ape, it is covered with blood and holes where your rifle entered its body. Its teeth seem ready to rip your head off.

It brings it's head over its head, ready to crush you. However, you quickly jam your rifle into its maw and pull.

The head of the giant explodes leaving the body to collapse onto you. You pull yourself slowly out from underneath the giant, stumbling to your feet.

"Come on, Aaron" you tell yourself, the ringing in your ears finally subsiding.

You begin to slowly stumble your way towards the river to hopefully meet up with Yasmin and Rachel.
