Golondrina demurs with a shake of her head. She's tall, like you, but broad-shouldered and strongly built, Where you have fine, flyaway black hair, Golondrina has smooth, shiny red hair. And where you're known for some mildly scandalous goings-on, including dallying with staff in the person of Miss Wormwood, and briefly Barbara Torch, Golondrina has mostly tried to stay inconspicuous. Indeed, you and Fay have brought her most of the attention she's been trying to avoid.

Because Golondrina's secret is that she's not just any witch, she's one of the Dragonkin. Her Housemaster, Fergus Firetail, knows. The Nurse may suspect. But Golondrina's origin is by no means an open secret. If it spread much further, it could be trouble for all of you.

"Were you actually coming to see me that night?" Golondrina says.

"I can't feel bad she won't be there," Golondrina says. "It wasn't about her, she just stepped in. Made herself part of it. Part of us. And she made you and Fay miserable after Housemaster caught you hanging about after. What a..." Golondrina sighs. "I won't say it."

"I'm sure Fay will say it if someone needs to," you say. "She was the guard at your gate, and, well..."

Golondrina laughs. "And you and Fay really wanted in." She grins. "I'm happy about that."

"Fay found us a place in Turnbuckle," you say. "So we won't have Wardens and Tutors and Prefects looking up our robes. Well, hopefully not."

Golondrina nods. "Well, then, if I'm to be ready, I have to get back to practicing. What do you know about conjuring mists and fogs?"

You and Golondrina work out some of her conjuration exercises. It's pleasant just being around her, and you hum inside with anticipation for your tryst with Golondrina and Fay, away from the prying and meddling staff of Boarbristle.
