Lexie the Wise.

The Elite Rathkin warriors eventually bring Lexie and yourself out of the throne room and walk you through a few corridors until you get to a random door in a hallway. You don't even want to negotiate or argue with the warrior for the time being because all you want to do is fall into a bed with Lexie by your side and just turn your mind off and just forget everything that has happened the past couple days.

And with that, the instant the random Elite warrior told you this is your bedroom for the night, you thanked him gracefully, nodded at him and went inside with Lexie, closing the door behind you.

With the door closed, you turned towards Lexie and smiled at her once more, just glad she was alright "Lexie, I'm so happy you're okay. So glad they didn't hurt you. So glad Rixx didn't..." you growl slightly.

"That's the second time he's helped me just in a few days..." Lexie begins "I know what he did to you and I will never forgive him for that, but..."

"Wait, second? What?" you glance back over at her. "Second time?!"

"Well yeah, when Rathkin showed up at the Syndicate, I was in my Villa, resting, wasn't feeling too good." she rubs her stomach "Two warriors showed up...they were..." she brings her finger to her chin, looking cute as she thinks "Let's just say one of them **** me onto the bed. I don't believe he was going to do anything but he did cop a feel though, crude bastard!" she grins.

"Lexie..." you pry on.

"It was maybe only a minute later Rixx came in and oh my god" she laughs "The look on their faces when they saw it was him who showed up. I swear the one who was holding me on the bed shit himself" she giggles almost uncontrollably. "Let's just...hahaha! Let's just say that one is probably not going to be fighting anytime soon." she laughs again.

You just rub your head, shaking it back at your Sunrider.

"I am confused how he knew where to find me. It's like, somebody told him how important I was to you and where I lived. It's just, weird." she confesses, thinking briefly before changing the subject "On different thoughts, I still can't believe you took a knee before that Edmin fella" she rolls her eyes at you "Oh Darien! You crack so easily!" she sticks her tongue out.

"Uhh..huh..what?!" you mumble out. "They were...they were going to kill you! I...I..."

"I'm only teasin'" she steps forward, wrapping her arms around your waist and resting her cheek against your chest "Missed you."

The two of you stood there in silence for sometime before you both started making your way over towards the bed. You began to shed your armor, changing into some light cloth shorts and shirt that were kept in the room. Lexie did the same, changing out of her normal leather Sunrider outfit and into something a little more comfortable for sleeping. You then crash down into the bed, falling backwards and getting a good bounce or two on it before just zoning out up at the ceiling. Lexie sits next to you, an armed wrapped over your chest as her face cradles into your shoulder blade, her head just inches from your face.

"So..." she whispers softly in your ear "care to fill me in on what's going on?" her voice so lulling "The castle is taken over, our King dead, Rathkin here and what happened to their Kingdom?"

Over the next hour you told her everything, from the march south, the take over and time spent at Murnic, the march and fall of Rathkin and finished it all up about Lady Karisi and their plan.

"So you left...Ashe in charge?!" Lexie begins "Oh no, we're screwed." she chuckles.

"Yeah...I know, right? That was mistake number one." you laugh together.

"So what's on your mind? Any idea of what to do next?" she asks, her index finger trailing along one of your pecs.

"I don't know to be honest..." you pause, staring up at the ceiling for a few moments "To be fair, after I heard Rathkin was attacking the Syndicate I only thought of you."

"Aww..." Lexie rubs your chest with her hand as she lifts her head and tilts it, giving your collarbone a quick kiss. "You're the best."

"So I just kinda...took off running." you let out a laugh "As for the future...I don't know. I mean, will the Syndicate really just be okay with their city getting taken over? With their King dying? Would they really listen to me if I told them it was in their best interest? I don't know...I really don't know." you grumble out "And Edmin is right. If I do march the entire Syndicate **** back here, we'd be fighting in our own city. Think of how many innocent civilians would most likely die, think of how destroyed the city would be, think of all the chaos that would ensue." you continue to twirl your finger through Lexie's hair "Just...I'm not sure what to do..."

"I guess I'm more confused because like, if Edmin is King of the Syndicate, they will have to leave forces here to defend him." she questions, nuzzling into your body even more, "So like, will half the Rathkin army stay here and the other half go back to Rathkin? Or will the Syndicate army now stay in Rathkin and the Rathkin army stays in the Syndicate...it's all so confusing. " she cuddles up so close to you.

"Yeah, that's a good question...I'm curious what their plan is, maybe they didn't think that far ahead? Or maybe they really think I can convince the entire Syndicate army to bow their heads to a Rathkin King..."

"Maybe they could go back to Rathkin if we could just get someone you trust to be King. I mean, then Rathkin goes back to Rathkin where Edmin can lead and the Syndicate will come back to the Syndicate where...I don't know, like, what about Karisi? You trust her yeah?" Lexie questions.

"Uhh..." your eyes shift back and forth, contemplating your answer "I mean, I...I did, but she did lie to me."

"True but, from the stories I've heard from you, the people of the Syndicate would get behind her as their new Queen a lot easier than they would for Edmin. I mean, she did help you into the castle back when you rescued Ashe and Lu..." she pauses "Well, you know..." her finger continues to dance on your pectoral "Aaanndd, that is someone you could stand beside, you have before and you could again." he continues her idea "I'm sorry but I can't see you ever standing besides Edmin and not wanting to secretly kill him." she let's out a laugh.

"I mean...it's a good idea. It could work. It's just, they may already have a plan." your hand cups her side, holding her dearly "Guess we'll talk with them tomorrow." you let out a giant huff of air as you once more begin to zone out while staring up towards the ceiling "Anyway...let's get some rest. It's been a long day..."

Lexie pulls herself up, bringing her hand ever so softly up to your cheek, caressing you dearly, she pulls her body up and her lips connect with yours. She just wants to connect with you one time before the two of you fall asleep. Her tongue doesn't even try to invade your mouth, she just puckers her lips up and holds them on yours for awhile. "Love you." she backs away smiling before resting her head once more by your side.

Leaning over, with a deep breath you blow out the candle, causing the room to go dark besides just a little bit of light shining in from the moon outside.
