Subliminal Messaging

One of the few luxuries you had as a mom was the allure of electronic entertainments. Radio. TV. Youtube. Just about anything that had anything distracting from the daily grind was watchable to you. For years, you had quite the collection of DVDs and accounts in entertainment providers such as Netflix and Spotify. It was a serious enough pastime that one of your pet peeves in the house was the boys playing their games on the main TV while it was time for your favorite drama to come on. Many family times were had when some of the shows you watched matched with Brock and Carl's interests.

A strange trend you had found over your experiences with the media world was how some shows and ads made you want to do things, even if the thing you did was completely different from what the actual message was about. You owe it all to the companies that made them, knowing a bit of how media giants work from the books you've read, and you avoid these obvious messages like the plague. It was one of the few frustrations you had to have to suffer through them, and most of the time, you tend to miss the subtle signs that drill themselves into your head. For all you know, as much as you try to resist, there was going to be no escape from it.
