Where do you find Eisheth?
Near the city gate
As the two of you leave the house, you see a young priest rushing out of the cathedral. Unsure if he is just a priest or a magician, Golem, or something else, you and Rosalind run into the nearest crowd hoping to become hidden. You look over your shoulder constantly as you make your way towards the city gates, looking to see one of the demons entering. Near the entrance, a tall woman wearing a plain black dress spots you and pushes her way through the crowd.
"O Creator, thou lookth terrified. Does thou not recognize thy most humble servant?" says the woman, clearly Eisheth in disguise.
"Rosalind, this is Eisheth, one of my friends I mentioned. Eisheth, this is Rosalind" you say, gesturing between the women. "We need somewhere to regroup. The Prince-Bishop's agents are looking for Rosalind."
"There is an inn, not too far from here, that none of the Prince-Bishop's men would want to enter. We can hide out there for the meantime" suggests Rosalind.
"Why won't they want to enter?" you ask.
"The inn also houses a brothel. No one who works for the Prince-Bishop would want to be seen entering one of those, and no one would suspect a righteous young woman such as myself would enter one either."
The three of you head away from the bustling marketplaces and into seedy alleyways as Rosalind leads you towards the inn. She states that she has never been there herself, but knows its location by reputation. Apparently, many of the Prince-Bishop's men, while they would never enter a brothel, often would pay for the whores to visit them in their lofts by the cathedral.
The sun was beginning to set by the time you reached the inn and the first few johns of the night were arriving, mostly labourers and tradesmen who had just finished working for the day. Rosalind stayed close by your side as they came in, many of them already drunk and hollering unwanted comments at Rosalind and Eisheth.
Once inside, you saw that there wasn't any real separation between the more standard forms of hospitality and the prostitution. A few patrons sat at the bar eyeing one of the whores dressed in a white nightgown. One man was seated at a table running his hand down a woman's leg while she feints laugher to his jokes. Rosalind stares at every scantily clad woman with mild disguise. She is used to seeing women wear the conservative outfits of the church, and all the exposed legs, stomachs, and occasional tit are a foreign sight for her. Rosalind and Eisheth seem to be the only women in the inn not selling their bodies. You take a seat down at the bar and ask the bartender about renting a large room for the night.
"And just how many more ladies are you expecting?" asks the bartender as he admires your two companions.
"Just give me your largest room," you say. "I can pay." Eisheth conjures up a small bag of coins and hands it to the bartender.
"Should I send any more girls your way?" the bartender asks you, as he counts the coins.
"I'm sure we are already more than enough for him" Rosalind replies.
One staff member leads you to a room in the basement, which houses four large beds and a round wooden table. Once he leaves, the three of you sit down, confident that you had escaped the Prince-Bishop for the time being, and began plotting your next course of action.
