Kenny paused and turned his head to his best friend; the small Asian girl was sulking at the table, looking sure that Kenny wasn't going to go with her. Kenny felt a ping of pain in his chest, how could he be treating Mindy like this? Mindy was-NO!-Is my best friend, so what if we hooked up last night, we were fucking drunk! Pushing her away now would only make things worse, I gotta talk to her, I need to save our friendship, fuck everything else! Kenny internally yelled, damn near angry that he ran away earlier when he had the perfect chance to talk thing over with Mindy. "I'll go to the mines, sure," He said with a small shrug,

Almost instantly Nicole frowned, the red-haired girl let out a loud scoff and stood up storming out of the kitchen while Mindy raised her head in complete shock. Kenny's face sunk in a little, Nicole reacted just like he thought she would, but that didn't make it any better, it hurt all the same. "Y-You're coming to the mines?" Mindy squeaked out,

Kenny let out a long sigh and nodded while rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah," He smiled while moving back to his seat and sitting down, "I'm down to spend the day with you guys, why wouldn't I be?"

"A-Awesome," Mindy smiled back, her body relaxing and the cloud of sadness finally moving away, "Um, when are we leaving, Brian?"

Brian was still looking at the door Nicole left through, he, along with most of the others, was a bit concerned by the girl's reaction, "I...I'm gonna go talk to her," Anna quickly said while getting out of her chair and rushing out of the room,

"Does anyone know why she's so upset?" Zoey asked while gaging the room only causing Kenny to stare down at his plate in shame, he felt like a complete asshole now,

Rachel instantly moved to Kenny's side, leaning over to place some pancakes on his plate, "Don't feel bad, you did what you thought you had to, focus on Mindy now," She whispered out quickly before moving to Kailyn's plate, putting some food down on hers as well, "I'm with Mindy, when are we getting this show on the road, little bro?"

"As soon as we finish eating and pack out gear up, I guess," Brian said with a small shrug,

"Yeah, maybe we should all take our time eating, hmm?" JJ suggested, as to give Anna and Nicole some more privacy, a murmur of agreement was shared.

Ten minutes passed by before Anna peaked her head back into the kitchen, "Guys, I talked it over with Nikki, she's...upset, and well, um...I'm going to stay here with her today. And, Kenny?" Kenny slowly looked over in some fear though he relaxed as Anna seemed sympathetic towards him, "I'm gonna pack your bag up for you. Honestly; I think Nikki need some alone time,"

"Oh, okay...sure," Kenny nodded back, "T-thanks,"

"I'm...I'm gonna go pack my bag, I'm actually looking forward to this," Mindy softly announced while quickly getting up and flashing Kenny a quick smile. Kenny weakly returned it causing JJ to smile as well, he was happy and even a touch hopeful for Mindy and Kenny.

A good thirty minutes past by before everyone was packed up with spare clothes, food, water and a medical kits. Brian and Rachel made sure to grab a few emergency flares just in case of the worst, but both White siblings knew they were likely unneeded. The group of teens, minus Anna and Nicole, left the lodge and headed down the mountain ready to travel to their locations.
