The Caravan is Ambushed

And then it happened.

As Fuu crossed the bridge along with the other guards, something cut the ropes. Freed from their moorings, the logs began the drift apart, carrying the front half of one of the carts into the rushing river below.

At the same time, Lizardfolk lunged from the stream and from the undergrowth, attacking the caravan from all sides. There were far more of them than the caravan leader had warned them about, and they outnumbered the guards easily three to one.

The creatures surged toward the carts, crude spears and obsidian accented clubs raised for the attack.

The Bravos braced themselves-- this is what they were here for, after all. It would hardly do to panic just because they were caught a little bit off guard.
