James Morgan, wallflower

James Morgan was an average guy. Average looking, average grades, middle class family. He got into Swanmire Academy as a legacy and maintained a 2.5 average, not because he was of average intelligence, but that he did not care. He rarely studied or exerted himself academically. The one thing he did like was computers. He spent a lot of time alone in the computer lab, helping Mr. Henderson, the assistant principal in charge of technology, textbooks, and electronics. The other students mostly ignored him, and he was never invited to parties or social engagements. He kept to himself mostly. He had crushes on a couple of girls and Ms. Watson, the curvy MILF English teacher, but just played out his fantasies at home in the shower on in bed.

One day Mr. Henderson presented James with a pocketwatch. "I found this in an antique store. The owner was having a going out of business sale. Since I know you like to tinker with things, I got this for you. It doesn't seem to work, so maybe you can fix it."

James looked at the watch. It had a bronze casing with an etching of a winking man's face. Mr. Henderson left James and went to inventory some new software.

James tinkered with the watch. He noticed the small plunger seemed to be stuck. He fiddled with it until it went down. Suddenly he noticed everything got strangely quiet, he couldn't even hear the mild hum of the computers or the traffic outside. He looked up and noticed Mr. Henderson was frozen with a clipboard in one hand and a box in the other. James opened his mouth to speak, but he could not make any sound. He got up and walked over to Mr. Henderson. He waved his hand in front of the man's face, but Mr. Henderson did not move.

James pulled the plunger up.

Sound started and Mr. Henderson jumped. "Wow, sneak up on me why don't you," he said. The bell rang. "Better get to class."

James smiled.
