Officer Green led Mrs. Shah down the small hallway to the room that he had left Emily in after having his fun with her out in the countryside. He hadn't spoken to Emily since he had left her alone in the room with the department's burner phone, the one they used whenever a juicy opportunity like this one came up. The way he saw it, there were only two options: either the slut was going to call a guy who was going to pay out the ass to bail her out, or she was gonna call a real beaut. He had guessed correctly.
Mrs. Shah didn't seem surprised when she saw her daughter waiting there in the interrogation room. The cop didn't know why. He didn't really care, either. Maybe Shah's daughter made a habit of being a whore. Probably, given the way she had offered herself up to him so quickly. These high school girls were getting wilder and wilder as every year went by.
Officer Green had no reason to believe that Camilla had seen him lead her daughter out of the convention hall in handcuffs. She didn't look like the sort that would be in costume at some convention for nerds, not after she had changed into her dress and out of her wig. While Camilla had expected Emily to have been given some clothes or at least a blanket, seeing her naked daughter waiting there wasn't an enormous shock. After all, it was nothing she hadn't seen dozens of times before, right?
The officer opened the door to the interrogation room for Camilla and she rushed inside.
"Emily, are you alright?" Camilla asked. She was furious at her daughter for whatever she had done to get herself arrested in this state, but her maternal instinct had taken over. There were more important things to worry about than the punishment that Emily would receive as soon as this matter was properly settled.
