Camilla arrives at the station.

It didn't take long for Camilla to arrive at the station. She knew the best ways through the city, and she wasn't about to waste time when her daughter was waiting for her, no matter how much trouble Emily had caused today. She had changed at the convention into a dark grey sundress and she had discarded her Black Canary wig sorrowfully, leaving her with only her frumpy long black hair.

I look like a widow, she thought to herself as she entered the lobby of the police station. She had hoped that Emily would be waiting there for her, but no. It seemed that her daughter really had been taken into custody. Where had Camilla and her husband gone wrong in raising her?

The unsavory folks in the lobby were eyeing Camilla like predators in a way that Mr. Shah hadn't looked at her in months. As much as she wanted to revel in that fact, she knew that time was of the essence. Every second she wasted out here was another second that her daughter was trapped in custody, even if Emily actually deserved what she was getting.

Camilla went up to the receptionist, projecting a false sense of confidence. "I'm here to get Emily Shah?" she said.

"Let me go get Office Green," the secretary said, getting up from her desk and going back to a back room out of Camilla's sight.

She came back in a few agonizing minutes with a beautiful hunk of man meat. The man, Officer Green presumably, was in his thirties, at least six feet and with a beautiful body. Camilla found herself staring and actually a little envious that Emily had been hand-cuffed by this incredible specimen of a man. Where did they get guys like this?

"Mrs. Shah?" he said in a gruff baritone. "I'm the one who took your daughter in. Why don't you come with me?" he said.

Camilla didn't notice the cruel laughter of his fellow officers as he led her down a hallway at the back of the police station.
