Emily calls Camilla.

Emily knew right away who she had to call. She hated it, but there was only one option. None of her friends would be able to come get her. She sure as hell wasn't about to call her father to come bail her out for getting fucked on stage by a stranger in a packed convention hall. But that one glimpse of her mother meant that someone in the Shah family already knew about her big indiscretion. It was too late to stop Mrs. Camilla Shah from finding out about what she had done, which meant that Emily had only one option.

She picked up the phone, her wrists still bound to the table with the cuffs, and dialed her mother's cell phone number, hating herself the whole time. Emily leaned forward, pressing her ear against the old phone and waiting for the tones.

Ring. Ring. Ring. Three cycles of rings and no answer. Her heart fell. Was her mother not going to pick up? Was she that ashamed of her own daughter that she would leave her to rot in a cell for God knows how long? Maybe if Emily didn't get bail, the cop wouldn't let her go. She didn't know what would happen in that situation.

Finally, though, Mrs. Shah picked up. "Emily?" she asked frantically. "Emily, where are you? An hour ago I saw you get dragged off naked by the police! What happened? Are you alright?"

That actually warmed the Shah daughter's heart a little. Her mom was clearly furious, Emily could hear it in her voice, but she really did care. "I'm okay, Mom," she said. More than okay, she thought. I got laid a half hour ago. "But I'm down at the station. Can you come get me?"

Camilla made a sound that was obviously displeased. "Fine," she said anyway. "I'll be there as soon as I can."
