"That's the second time she's dropped in, right?" Brian asks, still looking bemused.

"Yes. She came by yesterday to welcome us to the school. You just missed her, remember? Ms. Wilder commented on it."

"She's certainly perky," he says. "I guess since I said I would, I better go watch a bit of their practice. You coming?"

You think about it, considering the wisdom of attending the practice. Grace has a playful side that you hadn't noticed before, and is obviously not averse to risk. You wonder if seeing you at practice will spur her to some display that might expose your relationship.
