Her own game

"Hi, you must be Coach Watts," Grace bubbles, grinning widely and offering her hand to your roommate. "I'm Grace Mathewson. I came to invite you to cheer practice so you can see what kind of spirit we can bring to your games."

Brian takes her hand looking bemused. "Thank you Grace, I appreciate it. Did Ms. Wilder send you?"

"No, this is on my own initiative," she chirps. "I was passing and I thought it would be cool if you saw us. So I knocked on the door and Mr. Carter was kind enough to give me a glass of water. I've been so hot lately, and I get so thirsty. So will you come and see us practice Coach? Please?"

"Well, I'd love to, but I'm not sure this is the right time," Brian answers, almost stammering.

"Awww," she pouts prettily. "It would be so great if you did Coach. Mr. Carter you should come too. We're really good."

"I guess we could stop by for a while," he surrenders, looking at you with a shrug.

"That's so great!" she chirps, bouncing delightfully. "You'll love it! I promise! We're on the soccer field! See you there!" She scampers out your front door, leaving you and Brian glancing at each other in surprise.
