Reverse Bug

As Thereaux writhers on the floor I scoop up the bug and necklace and make a beeline to Cartier. Bursting into his office, he looks up as I cry out "Someone planted a homing device on me!" Tossing the necklace and bug onto his desk "What are we going to do about it?"

"Officer Graspper! calm down and tell me how you obtained this?"

"From that perv that groped me three days in a row!"

Digging through the files on a desk behind him, pulling out an pink one rifling through it before taking a sheet of paper out "Barney Hutson, 410 Barton Avenue." Looking back to me as he picks up the phone receiver and calls the forensic labs. "Narammster still around?" a pause then "Good sent him and his gadgets kit to my office!"

Five minutes later Narammster is looking at the circuit board with a jeweler's scope "Very sophisticated electronics here, with a switch of one path it can be a location device which homes in on the receiver." Looking up with a smile on his face "I haven't seen one like that since that bug was found in City Hall three months ago!"

"Okay but can we use it to find the person who gave it to Hutson to begin with?"

"Yeah I've switched it over already, just walk around the city with a smart phone and the app I"ll download into it and it'll lead you to within 100 feet of the person!"

"Well Carly up for a stroll around the city?" A nod of my head "Download it into three phones!"

With the new smartphone ready I'm ready to go out walking while two fellow officers follow me in two squad cars in case I get into trouble. Before we go we decide since City hall is at the focal point of Humdinger City we would start from there. Driving there with Constable Green, i get out and switch the phone on when the screen lights up like a fourth of july sparkler! Getting confirmation from Green and the other officer, I enter City hall.
