Chapter 11 by crunchyspag crunchyspag

It is...

Choosing your route

You have a major choice for your trip to the Holy Land: by land or by sea? There are two main routes that are well mapped.

Going by land, you would have to go through Magyaria, then all the way through Byzantion, then it would be a quick trip through disputed territory before reaching the Kingdom. This route would be far slower, but comes without the risk of nigh unavoidable **** from a sunken ship. Driving a convoy over such a long distance for such an extended period of time would prove challenging however.

If you decide to go by sea, you'll need to hire some ships. The Venezians and Genuans are usually the ones to go to for such things, as they both have large fleets that can rent out their surplus. This way would be much quicker and simpler, but the risks posed by storms and pirates is high.

Overall, money isn't a main factor, as each choice would have its own expenses. The extra supplies and animals needed for the land route would be more or less matched by the high cost of renting a fleet.

You've made your decision
