7th and Sanger

It's almost a surprise that you and Sarah Cummings don't fuck on the way to 7th and Sanger, it's not like there isn't time. The way she shuffles papers around and makes notes suggest that she just is too busy. She really works like this Pro Bono? Somehow, you thinks there will be a way you'll pay for this. Just later.

You figured that Fertility Clinics would be different on this world, but you didn't expect this. You expected a small medical practice but the building at 7th and Sanger that Sarah points out looks like a particularly generous 3 story apartment building. You'd almost guess that it wasn't a fertility clinic but the sign over the door. Even if you couldn't read "New Life Fertility Clinic" you see that it has a variation of the medical symbol over the words. It looks a lot like the Red Cross symbol, but there's another line stickout out of the circle up and too the right.

"I called ahead, and they have a room for you if you want it. Apparently the second and third floor are all apartments."

"What's the rent cost?"

"Just what a Revivalist would ask. Heh. Men stay for free at fertility clinics. Sort of."

"Sort of?"

"Room is Free, Food is Free, Internet is Free, etc. However, they chose what you can eat, they put you on a pill regimin, you have to spend at least an hour every day in their gym, and every day you have to either have sex with a woman of their choice or make a sperm donation. There is a money bonus for every confirmed pregnancy you make, but they don't have to pay out until you moved out for two weeks."

"That doesn't sound too bad. How is it they have a room open?"

"I hear it does tend to chafe after a while, but it's better then being homeless. And you only have to live here long enough to get your paperwork straightened out."

You shrug, and look up. Yeah, you can see that getting really annoying in the long run but unless you can think of a better idea...
