Joy came back to the hotel room.

The hotel room's door slammed open and Lynn jumped a mile out of her seat. Joy was back, and she wasn't happy.

"You parked the MEKA on the loading dock?!" fumed Joy. She was still in full Mei cosplay, too irritated to even take her boots off. "And you're playing Overwatch?! Dude, do you even care about the contest anymore?"

"Hey~, Mei~!" Lynn-as-D. Va smiled. She was still on stream, so she couldn't break character, even if Joy didn't notice. "Things got a little crazy, and... wait, you didn't hear?"

"Hear about what?" Joy asked suspiciously.

"Uh..." Think, Lynn, think! "They said my cosplay was too damaged to compete. You remember how that kid broke it earlier?"

"Oh, wow," Joy said, suddenly sympathetic. "That really sucks, Lynn. I know how much this meant to you."

"It's ~fiiiine~," Lynn said smoothly. She steered her in-game MEKA to pick off another Widowmaker. "There's always next Con."

"I guess," Joy said. "Well, I think I'm done for the day, too. You have fun killing people, and maybe we can fix your cosplay later."

"I wouldn't count on that," Lynn said under her breath.

Joy sat on the bed behind Lynn and slipped off her boots and reached for the zipper on her parka. Lynn held her breath as she realized what was happening.

Joy didn't realize she was on camera.

The viewer count was nearing fifteen thousand.

This was actually something Lynn could get banned for, but if she treated it like an accident, she'd only be banned for a day or two. And in the meantime, she could try a few other sites...
