Minerva (Clip 12 of 14)

Melissa knew that the Matriarchs were one of her biggest obstacles in her plan. So she was grateful when Lydia and Clara had managed to actually record footage of one, as every last piece of knowledge about them was useful. Of course, after Lydia turned of the Camera in the last clip, there were some gaps, but it was pretty easy to put the information together and figure out what happened.

When the Camera turned on, someone besides Casey and Lydia were holding it. The camera was focused on Casey and Lydia, as Lydia was on her knees, out of breath, and Casey was lying on her back, seemingly exhausted, with her eyes starting to show traces of pink. Their firearms broken on the floor next to them."So...this camera is broadcasting this right? To the Rose Squadron?" A woman with a french accent says behind the Camera.

Lydia gives a look of anger, and Casey is too tired to respond.

"First, I must introduce myself. My name, is Minerva. And, to all the lovely Roses out there. I ask, why are you fighting? Because you think you can return the world to what it was? Because you think that we're monsters? Well, the world was plenty bad before the glorious Towers ever came along, so it's not like we've changed anything. If anything, it's an improvement, as we give people purpose, reason. Happiness."

Lydia started to stand up, as a couple of grey haired women walked into the camera's frame, and picked up Casey. As they started to pull her away, Lydia quickly ran over and swung a punch at one of the Handmaidens, and the Handmaiden dodged out of the way, dropping Casey back to the ground. The second handmaiden backed off as well.

The women holding the camera looked around the room, as over a dozen handmaidens slowly surrounded Lydia and Casey.

"We have no use for the infected here, my maidens. Take her to the Sinful Lady, she's probably looking for more wombs to fill anyways." The french accented Minerva said.

"YOU WON'T TOUCH HER" Lydia screams at the handmaidens surrounding her.

"...We're experiencing some technical difficulties, Roses, and I'll have to return to broadcasting after a private interview." Minerva says.

The camera clicked off.

Minerva. Minerva was an interesting Matriarch. From all their intelligence, she only looked for one thing in a handmaiden. Looks. The prettiest, most beautiful girls were all she craved, and considering the Tower's resources, she got a lot of them. Minerva was a Matriarch with dozens of handmaidens, and Minerva certainly enjoys knocking up pretty girls. So why in the hell didn't she knock up Lydia Northwell, and take her too? Why did she decide to make her a Matriarch?
