The Walk to Iki Town

Welcome to Route 1. That's right, you're not in a little town, but you need to get to one if you want that Pokemon. Anyways, you follow Professor Kukui to the left side of Route 1, the route to the left of your house.

"Welcome to paradise, cousin, " greets Kukui, "This is the Alola region! Folks here in Alola get along by living together with Pokemon and working together, too. After all, you can go anywhere as long as you got Pokemon helping you out here. That's why we gotta get you to the kahuna!"

As you and Kukui walk towards Iki Town, Kukui makes some more small talk with you, "I hope you're liking Alola so far. The more you love Alola, the happier I'll be." After that, a small boy motions to Kukui.

"Professor Kukui! You've gotta recommend another move for me for my Pokemon sometime! Please?" asks the small boy, excited to see the professor.

"Did you already know what moves you want it to use?" questions Kukui in return, "If not, come find me when your Pokemon learns a new move, and then we'll battle."

As the walk continues, Kukui motions to you the tall grass on both the left and right sides of the path. "If you had a Pokemon with you, you could dive into the tall grass here and here, yeah, to try to catch some wild Pokemon to add to your team!"

Again, as the trek continues, you notice two boys pitting Pokemon against each other. Kukui notices your curiosity and watches the battle with you. "See those Trainers? They're going against one another in battle with the Pokemon they love!" You can hear one cheering his Yungoos up.

While the battle continues, both boys stop and see you and Kukui and greet you. "You're the new kid that just flew in?" asks the younger one, "Let's have a Pokemon battle sometime!"

Kukui explains to you, "Having Pokemon gives you a whole new way to communicate with other people, see? Now, let's now dawdle too much, Iki Town is right there." He motions his head to your right.

At Iki Town, Kukui introduces you to the town for a bit. "We're finally here! This is Iki Town! This town is where folks come to worship the Pokemon that watches over Melemele Island. Tapu Koko keeps us all safe and happy, see!"

Kukui notices something wrong with the lack of a lot of people. "Huh? What's goin' on here? We were supposed to meet everybody before you get your Pokemon, yeah. Could they be on Mahalo Trail, where we have our ruins of our guardian deity, Tapu Koko?"

Kukui turns to you. "[insert player name], do me a solid and find the island kahuna! I'll check the other parts of town just in case he's here. You can't miss him, he looks like a kahuna!"
